Why do people get so flabbergasted when the Boy Scouts act in a right-leaning matter? BSA HQ is in Texas for crying out loud! The vast majority of troops that show up at those types of jamborees come from middle America states, and I'm sure Trump made sure to organize a speech during the week that many of the troops came from red states on purpose.

It really pisses me off the way lefties like Blobbo are so quick to throw Boy Scouts under the bus, because it's considered a traditional type of activity. For all its flaws (and there are a lot) the Boy Scouts does a lot of great things. The skills you learn to make Eagle can't compare to what they in school (some of the stuff they should be teaching mind you) and tbh if more communities had access to a well-run troop and the benefits they provide, I think that would really go far in making those communities a better place.

But those dang, dirty Boy Scouts are evil and all that, and they probably diddle kids anyway right?

Here's the difference: "Feminism" is not, as a political ideology, absolving women from any wrongdoing because they are women. It's a broad, multi-pronged collection of diverse philosophical and political viewpoints premised not simply on "for women" but AGAINST political injustice against all people (men included!) that stems from an unjust system premise on male superiority/privilege. By contrast, the "Men's Rights" movement *IS* only about absolving/protecting men from consequence because they are men. Full stop. The two movements have nothing in common save for deliberately misleading terminology designed to equate a gendered hate-movement with a movement against gendered hate. And if you don't grasp that difference, you're either being disingenuous or you're not bright.
