A couple of weeks ago the IRGC was forming literal Volkstruum units made up of retired IRGC soldiers, Iran-Iraq War vets, and other volunteers and equipping them with whatever AKs they had laying around. They have to air these tutorials on national TV because there hasn't been any internet in Iran since February except for people paying $50 to $100/per GB to use a VPN or regime loyalists who have been whitelisted.
ROTFLOMG. I can *barely* handle a SAW at the range well enough to be consider adequate....the mere thought of a completely untrained dune-coon trying to actually hit anything he's aiming at on purpose is almost hilarious. "Scraping the barrel" works just as well IRL as it does in Hearts of Iron.

Putting brass in an AK is like putting premium into a Corolla
Unironically put premium into my 2ndhand commuter for years because it was the only thing for 200 miles around that wasn't contaminated with fucking ethanol. My mechanic eventually bought the engine out of it and it kept another Toyota running past the 200k mile mark.

I have no commentary except to say the gall of this nigger

There's actually not much to it or anything that sticks out as disagreeable. It's just stuff someone unfamiliar with the gun space would worry about.

He just looks really fucking weird to me.
He's not really wrong.

Unless it's your job, shooting can and should be fun.

The way people talk about gear, you'd think anything purchased before 2024 is a useless object that can't work. At least we've moved on from the annual 5.11 tactical fashion catalogs, but it's fucking ridiculous what some people think about necessary budgets, or how often they change shit. Fuck, I've still got a keymod forend on an upper because it was cheap, gets the job done and won't change a damned thing if I swap it out other than drain my wallet. Repetition matters more than upgrades, yeah unless you're trying to make some temu optic that doesn't even belong on an airsoft work, it's probably something else holding you back until you've hit a real plateau at which point you'll actually know for sure getting a better optic matters.

Shit doesn't need utility to be justified. Sure. I don't have a garand for the utility, I have it because it's fun. I've got an old remington .22 setup as similar to a competition anschutz with irises and shit, it's fun.

Aesthetics mattering. Holy fuck just look at the past 300 years of firearms. Anyone claiming aesthetics never mattered is fucking delusional. It's the same reason no one gave a shit about something like that zip 22lr, or that recent "ounce" hunk of shit that was floating around for a bit recently.

Of course the problem is that this man is a gigantic faggot, and no amount of sense he's speaking will override this. As far as his opinions being unpopular, I guess maybe among the rest of the guntube faggots? Of course most of them can't shoot for shit anyway, never have to worry about maintenance for wear and tear down the road since they're constantly swapping crap out, and are more interesting in their idea of looking cool for the camera to other faggots than actually using basic fundamentals that have been repeatedly proven to work.

annual 5.11 tactical fashion catalogs
God, the clothing autism in the gun sphere is so retarded. Hunting camo clothing is the most retarded of all. hundreds of dollars for a shirt/jacket and pants.

I'm able to walk up on Deer, Bear, Turkey and Elk all the time in good ole OD green. the camo industry is a huge scam for the most part.

I will say their shorts are the only shorts I can find as an adult that don't tag me as a) an autist (cargo shorts) or b) a faggot european (thin plaid shorts). Other than that, they make me unreasonably angry. I'm sure your 68 dollar t-shirt was worth it, sloptuber.
Anyone claiming aesthetics never mattered is fucking delusional.
It's real, but the sad truth is it's very hard to pick anything just for aesthetics that doesn't get you clowned on. You have to pretend it's useful. Sure, you say you like FDE because it's less identifiable against most backgrounds than black... but it kinda looks cool. At least you can pretend with FDE. If you like colors other than black, green, or tan, you're fucked. Imagine buying a red handguard in the year of our lord 2026.

Hell, I've got a couple rifles with blue stocks, and I don't give a shit what anyone else thinks. Built my mom a custom purple 10/22(not a ruger action of barrel) for mother's day once, she thought it was great. Look at the guns the benchrest guys shoot, they don't give a fuck what anyone else thinks of the color and half the guns look like they were painted by someone who paints fishing boats or dragracing cars. Just google image searching "benchrest rifles" I see a blue and white marble effect, grey, wood, chrome, US flag, 3 more wood, a fucking 2x4, red and blue, 3 more wood stocks, neon and then lime green, on and on.(the old fuckers shooting railguns with hydraulic dampers and shit are also faggots).

The moment you quit trying to look like a tactical badass at all times, you can do whatever the fuck you want and cerakote and all of the other variants let you do that with basically anything.

Time to sperg about airshit again!
From PNWgorilla to seemingly every ranger ever what is it with milsim airshit? It must just be super easy to sell your tactical t-shirts to kids at airshit games or something, because I cannot for the life of me understand why every EAS'd ranger ends up there otherwise, outside MSW being founded by a ranger?

Because it's part of the tactical LARP.

You're also not wrong about the selling shit to kids and everyone else that can't get access to firearms. The chest rigs, holsters, shirts, red dots, even fucking NVGs, can all be bought by more people than just firearm owners. Books, videos, training classes, they'll buy this shit too. It's not like these people are going out and doing anything with blanks, BFAs, MILES gear or whatever the modern equivalent is, and actually running through realistic scenarios.

We all know that in a realistic nigger apocalypse scenario, the biggest obstacle to overcome in your attempt to defend yourself will be the damned kettlebell.
I've actually forgone all weapons for this reason and currently reside in a gloomy fortress made entirely of kettlebells. It's worked out pretty well; nobody comes to bother me.

Can we invent a gun that shoots kettlebells? It’s be the ultimate arm for home defence.
To break into my house you must first toss kettlebells in accordance to each blind stage presented to you, failing to do so costs you time and will earn a lower placement on the competitive ranking list publicly posted.
