To be fair, if I had a child who were autistic I'd rather they were sticking to relatively harmless spergery such as this rather than being bronies or furries or Tumblrinas. I certainly wouldn't want to sit next to them at a dinner party though or a long distance train journey.

At least with train spergs you can buy them a model kit, there are conventions for that interest, etc. Being obsessed with toilets and elevators just makes you an annoying loiterer.

What do you think makes foamers and airheads so common in society but elevator lovers not? You see far more elevators and escalators daily than trains and planes, I'd assume their numbers would be reversed.

Honestly, the conventions and modelling makes it worse. Just like an alcohol or heroin addict makes their entire life revolve around scoring or getting their next drink, a trainsperg's entire life revolves around when and where they'll tick off locomotive 67012 "A Shropshire Lad" in their notebook or beat Norman from Tiverton to getting a specific super limited edition handbuilt bespoke model engine. And it drags all their friends and family into it as well.

Railway enthusiasm. Just say no.

The plus side of these liftspergs is that they don't have any friends or family to drag into it.

Remember all those VHS/DVD collections of trains, planes and heavy equipment that were marketed to give parents a break from chimpouts? That might be partly to blame. Nobody makes dvds for kids about toilets and elevators.

I would love to ride in some of those really old brass collapsible gate elevators. Some are over a century old by now. There's some late 1990's elevators that are great looking as well.

One of these days I would like to get a property owner's permission to look inside of a dead mall and hopefully see an escalator. I've heard it being done before.

Some shitty old apartments have them. Theyre tiny, feel rickety and probably smell. Just move into one of them and go crazy all day.
