I've never posted or anything, and I'm sure sharshorita will post a much better detailing of what went down, I just need everyone to know that Russ legit brought up the fact that he was wearing a suit to the judge as part of his argument

Amazing. It's like he thinks a suit means he's playing important big boy like it's Halloween. I hope the other lawyers objected to point out they were also wearing suits that merited the judge's consideration.

Yes, I'll let the other person give the detailed report

Say whatever. Memories fade fast, so I've found whenever doing court report type shit that it's best just to get it on paper (or a text file) as soon as possible. Whenever in a Luddite court with no electronics allowed, I scrawl a bunch of incoherent gibberish on a legal pad (that's why they call them that) and then immediately turn it into some kind of text afterwards.

OK so before he got there, they were talking about the fact that his social media posts might be considered misdemeanor harassment or perhaps felonious stalking. He asked Skordas if he wanted him to issue a warrant to ask him about these things. S declined.( I'm going to use S for Skordas, J for Judge, and R for Russell.) There was some mention of the fact that it included "members of my own family" by S. He is very soft spoken. I mean, enough to hear, but I may have missed something. J asked S if he wanted to counter sue for attorneys fees and asked S how much it cost. S said they put a cap of 2500 on it, but they didn't believe that they had reached that, so whatever he thought was fair. So he ordered a judgment for 1500 for the defendants. Also, I should point out in this discussion that it was clear that the judge had read through everything and had been made aware of at least a few things he had posted on Facebook. So anyway, he dismissed with prejudice because R was wasting everyone's time and so forth. Then one of the bailiffs put his hand to his ear and said something to the judge. He had arrived, so he struck his ruling.

Oh yeah, and S told J that R had been posting "quite vigorously" online that he was going to be there. R apparently also tried to subpoena someone who works at or owns the place where the concert took place, but he there wasn't any indication that he served it, so nobody showed up.

So as I said, R said he thought it was at 2, and he was like, I set my alarms for.... do you want to see? And he was like, No, I don't want to look at your phone.

Anyway, they discussed that it was his own lawsuit and he should have looked at the calendar, and now he's wasted everyone's time. And you know, we are actually lucky that they didn't start on time because otherwise he would have gotten there after it was too late to go back to the case. So S talked about his motion to dismiss based on no jurisdiction and no cause of action. Then he said before they started he wanted to discuss his posts on social media, specifically the one about "there will be blood in the courtroom."

Argh. My time is about to run out but it said I had an hour so I'll go post this and talk to the guy and brb.

And anyone can go ahead and say anything. I wouldn't feel like my thunder was stolen or anything. I only livestreamed for a couple seconds of him walking out, I guess it didn't show up. Then it said I couldn't reconnect so I guess my internet wasn't working. I AM SO SORRY about making you wait for that only for it to suck or not even show up. I should have just used my camera and uploaded it. The media wasn't there so what I wanted to get, an interview with them outside, would not have happened. If you didn't see him walking out of the courtroom at least, that's on Tmobile.

No apologies necessary, I think everyone had a pretty good time in the chat.

I just didn't want to steal any thunder, and someone had a notepad taking notes so I figured they'd cover everything. Just to hold you over, some things we remember:

Skordas called Russ's disability a "perceived disability"
Russ could not provide adequate evidence to say how he felt "threatened" by Ariana's security staff, only just that they laughed at him and were trying to decide if he was drunk
Judge gave him a lecture on threatening because of the "there will be blood" post and I guess a post where he said he was going to kick Skorda's ass. The judge implied that there was 2 bailiffs instead of 1 because of these threats.
Judge multiple times had to lecture Russ on the meaning of certain legal terms and how Russ wasn't applying them correctly

So did they end up upholding the court cost fine of $1500? And it was dismissed with prejudice, I believe that counts against him eventually being ruled as a "vexatious litigator".. IANAL but I believe this isn't something someone can just do ad-infinitum without repercussion
