S: We filed a motion to dismiss the case based on failing to state cause of action, lack of jurisdiction, both subject ... ? individuals.

There are two kinds of jurisdiction, personal jurisdiction (over the parties) and subject matter (the kind of case it is). You need both for the court to hear the case, and defendants argued that neither personal nor subject matter jurisdiction existed. They're right on both counts.

S: We put a cap on our fees of $2500. We haven’t reached that yet, so whatever you think is reasonable.

This guy is classy. He probably usually charges that just for appearing at all. Dealing with the kinds of messes crazy pro ses generate is a hassle.

I have a feeling His Honor the Judge was looking forward to hearing Russhole make a fool of himself in court just to have a little entertainment and break up the boredom of the typical day in court. It also seems that he really wanted to give Rusty a dressing down over his conduct on social media, taking offense over Saggykins stalking and harassing people. Good for His Honor.

He was being generous actually even giving Russ a chance to explain why he filed this bullshit in some way that would justify not sanctioning him (although just not showing up was good enough to sanction him with the other side's fees just for wasting everyone's time).

I think this judge may have - at least temporarily - killed our favorite cow. Using his own FB babbling against him probably was a wake up call. But in time, maybe the sting of yesterday's events will fade and he will resume his dipshit antics that we reap so many lols from.

No, I think he'll slowly rewrite his memories of the trial like he did with what happened at the concert and feel the need to double down on the other lawsuits to vindicate himself. He's been wronged by a judge selectively applying the law in ways that are wrong to him.

He can't file an appeal. It was dismissed with prejudice.

His appearance really is unnerving. He looks like an an actual troll in its original sense.

You can always appeal at least once. "With prejudice" just means you can't turn around and file exactly the same lawsuit. "Without prejudice" means dismissed for some procedural reason like failure to serve the defendants, and you can try again.

I must say that the trial of the year kept me alive during an awful day at work.

@sharshorita you are a true Kiwi and you fuckin' rock! I'd send you a Starbucks card without even expecting you to sing my songs.

@cumpie thank you so much for offering to buy the audio of the event! Is there any way that we can compensate you for it? I'd be more than willing to chip in if you need it

To the rest of the soldiers who showed up, thank you from the bottom of my cold, dead heart!

Hoo boy, that was hot. When Skordas took the stand, it was all over for Russell, and it was amazing just how quickly he shot his arguments down. He got roasted good, the normies in that courtroom aren't going to forget that experience any time soon (hopefully).

Lol Russ got threatened by three guards just looking at him. I'm sensing some contradiction here since I have no idea why he went with the negligence claim when that wasn't something he was crowing about on social media this whole time. And of course Ariana would look down on him, because she's on a high platform stage. And unless it was a well-lit stadium they were in, I also bet she couldn't even see his face (in the third row, no less) because of all the lights shining on her.

"Honestly, do you want to know why I post such whacky stuff to my Facebook? Because I’ve been having a meltdown. It’s been going on. It just hurts."

I'm trying to figure out how to write this comment in a way that won't sound powerlevelly, so let me just say: his space-invader behavior in the video clip and his stance in that photo made my guts instantly tie themselves in a knot. If you just want to shake someone's hand, you don't loom so close that they have to brush past you. You can stand at a respectful distance and call out, "No hard feelings, Mr. Skordas" or something while offering your hand. He is trying to be, as laughable as it may seem to us, intimidating. Similarly, the stance is that of a person who's about to launch into a tirade or worse -- thankfully he apparently just left. Earlier in the thread, I thought @Barbarella and @DrJonesHat were being a little alarmist. I respectfully retract that position. I worry about anyone who has to be around him in the next week or so.

He was also in no position to shake hands. He was holding that absurdly huge briefcase in his right hand. Unless he shakes with his left hand like a true autist. Wouldn't be surprising.

Skordas and the woman who I assume is his colleague don't even look at him. I think Russ had big ideas of giving them both a piece of his mind and just crumbled when the moment arrived.

Anyway, the more I watch the video, specifically the way he hobbles and how his knees appear to bend inwards as he stands straight up, it is clearly evident he does have knock knees.

His mannerisms are so fucking strange. The way he has to abruptly jerk his head around to see because he can't move his eyes makes him look like some retárded parrot that washed up from some oil spill.

Guy just has a litany of things wrong with him. Jesus.

I agree with you completely. The way he swung his arm after putting down his phone - a meaninglessly small gesture - was obviously done with so much aggression and barely withheld rage. It sounds so stupid and nitpicky but that's the point in the clip where I shuddered. He is a nasty, angry little troll man.

His instagram appears to be down along with his facebook. He might go into hiding for awhile because of this lolsuit. Though, knowing him, he'll just make new ones under different names. At least I hope so.

Good analysis. The other pictures of him really made him out to be a plodding, goofy dork, but these candid pictures really make me feel like he's a dangerous person. I'm someone who doesn't mind physical confrontation so I've been in enough of them to know that there are dudes who have cultivated a violent aesthetic - maybe they have tattoos or wear tough guy clothing or whatever - and then there's another group of people who's anger you can sense from just looking at them. Russ is obviously the latter.

The mentality here is that he will slowly re-write what happened in his head. Narcissists like this cannot have anything bad be said against them because it causes a disconnect with their mental view of the world. They cannot reconcile the two. And so the story will shift ever so slightly in his favor each time he goes over it in his mind. Until he completely re-writes the occurrence in his head. It will, of course, never be quite right because he didn't receive a ruling in his favor, but he will put the judge down for being wrong-headed and not understanding Russ' brilliance. Or that the judge was in Skordas' pocket all along and TRUE JUSTICE was denied.

Once he reaches that point, it will be back on like Donkey Kong. Killing a cow temporarily always reaps more lulz in the end. Because they just do not learn.

Not that I've seen many other narcissists do the same re-writing in previous situations. Oh no. None at all. Right.

Thank God for courtroom audio. It doesn't go away.

It's the quiet ones that you have to watch out for. Russ is a quiet one because his rage seethes beneath the surface. And he doesn't have the charm for his "mask" of being just a super awesome guy to work on normal people. His rage is evident to anyone who cares to see it in his mannerisms. He's one you need to watch for sure. His landlord's sister should possibly get a restraining order or at least send Russ a C&D letter because you know he won't stop. And now that he's being kicked out of his place on TOP of this girl's rejection AND his ignominious defeat in court? This boy is gonna blow a gasket on something. I hope it's not his landlord or his landlord's sister.

He was thoroughly humiliated in court. He had his evidence thrown in his face, had his nose rubbed with his Facebook posts about the court case and was barely allowed to talk. And with both his court history and him being late, the judge spared nothing.

To me, it's actually understandable why his body language was screaming with embarrassment and rage. He was absolutely certain he will win after all.

How he will cope with that remains to be seen, though him going into DFE mode suggests he's going into hiding.

Hell, Elliot Rodger, whose name has been invoked many times ITT, looked superficially normal enough (and was even careful to point out how much his shades or shirt cost, not exactly a biker-gang thing). It was only when you looked at his eyes -- quite apart from the shit he was spewing -- that those videos were chilling.

@Kyyyyyyyle is also right in that narcissists love an opportunity to play the victim of some dreadful injustice or conspiracy, no matter how ridiculous it may sound to others, because it still puts them at center stage. We will hear how the Utah legal system is b0rked and/or how the judge and Skordas were working together because they enjoy discriminating against naked mole rats in ill-fitting dress shirts.
