I miss Nugrape made with high fructose corn syrup, I hate the cane sugar version.

IKR! They fucked up Diet Pepsi by changing aspartame to sucralose, as if it's any better for one's health. Aspertame gave it the "Crisp" in "Light. Crisp. Refreshing." Now it tastes metallic, even from a plastic bottle. It was re-released as "'Diet Pepsi Classic Sweetener Blend," but who knows for how long. It's good I like Pepsi Max/Zero Sugar, although I'm a Coke man.

I also remember this being alright, back when Cadbury Schweppes still existed and owned Dr. Pepper.

Wrigley's Extra Original had a nice fruity taste, which was quite difference from all the usual mint flavors and "Classic Bubble." 5 Elixir tasted quite similar, but it was hard to find and eventually discontinued, too.

I will say though I have saved a few unopened gum packs of Extra and even the long forgotten Adams brands. It'll be a nice keepsake for my kids or grandkids to deal with!

They had a way of getting their "swirl logo" out there!

My guess was Classic Bubble and many limited fruit flavors coming out rendered it unnecessary, so production was stopped in 2003.

Yeah I guess I haven't chewed it long enough to noticed the difference. Though back in the 80's I used to had Carefree Sugarless Gum a lot, namely their bubble gum flavor, there's a brand you don't see much anymore.

I have been seeing a similar thing called Yowie that has toy animals inside, I would have gone nuts for those as a kid.

It's best to keep these as ornamental pieces of a bygone era. I've done that with a tin of chewing gum packs so far. Every time I open it up, the smell just hits me! I know I can't chew 'em, but at least the smell is enough! My sis for example saved a couple boxes of Kellogg's cereals themed around The Simpsons from the early 2000's. I'm sure they're still at her house somewhere in a closet or attic.

The way Mars Inc. operates seems to find ways to mess around and confuse their brands globally (Milky Way for example is made with different ingredients on both sides of the Atlantic. Recently the US Mars just introduced Maltesers here. For us Yanks, these are essentially the same as Whoppers, but I hope they can keep 'em around as long as they can.
