I've heard some people talk about the possibility of implanting MTFs with artificial wombs so that they can give birth. Knowing what I know now about dilation, that sounds like a load of bullshit. The sad and scary reality is to them the surgery sounds like the most sane thing a person could do. No thought given to medical ramifications or complications that could arise because having the outside match how they feel on the inside is the most important thing to them. That's why there are so many psychological evaluations before the procedure is even done ( the majority of which I am positive is legal CYA on the doctors part).

That's also why on sites like Reddit you'll see doctor shopping (in more liberal areas), screeching that the doctors are stonewalling the transition, foreign surgeons (who seem to have a reputation for enabling quackery as well, see stem cell clinics and the like), and DIY hormone therapy. They don't know or care about the side effects, they saw some tumblr blogs praising it and saw it was the new thing to do.

It's how anthropologists determine if a woman gave birth on female skeletons) it's also a delicate balance of hormones to support growth and your uterus expanding to hold the baby safely. Plus, fluids that occur naturally won't develop in a man and there is literally no amount of horomones that'll make them. There is no way a transplant womb in a man is going to be viable. This procedure, if even possible, will totally only be useable by women who have a uterus already. It's almost like carrying babies is a really delicate process only biological women's bodies are capable of doing, hmmmm? Funny that.
