It's really not bad, honestly. If you keep at it you'll improve in no time.

I haven't drawn in forever but even when I could I'd always fuck up hair in general.

@ShittyRecolor Thanks so much! I'm still experimenting with different styles, but that just started out as a quick sketch and snowballed so it's probably closest to my 'real' style.

I've always liked the album cover for 'The Miracle', it's a really cool concept and seemed like a fun challenge to experiment with. Pls excuse the hands if they look jacked up, they're my drawing weakness.

Yeah, it's hard not to make hair look like some weird helmet sometimes. I personally like to look at pictures of people with different 'dos and study the direction and flow of how their hair flow. For me at least that was a pretty useful tool for making my hair drawings look a bit more natural.

Finding one's own style can be such a funny thing. Being versatile is essential to any artist, but I find that usually one of the more straightforward ways of finding your artistic identity is to find what comes to you most naturally. Paul Gilbert's approach of learning the guitar helped me realize this a lot: while he's an incredibly well versed guitarist (his vocabulary of licks is especially astounding in his post-2000s stuff), he always emphatizes playing other people's stuff your own way rather than trying to copy it 100%. He also thinks that, since we all have differently developed hand muscles, differenty things come naturally to different people, which can be a great focal point to not only learning music but to developing a unique style.

The guy (Florence) is basically a supervisor for a resort (yes I forgot the hands smh).

The girl (Willow) is a member of a band and a transgender. Yeah I know, Tumblr and stuff but I wanted diversity in the cast.
