Back during his initial online streams, he had a slight skip during a match vs Akuma, he lost shortly after that and as you would very well guess, he spent a while bitching about the netcode. Which is funny given GGPO's good reputation, but also because most of the match ran well, it was during the last round where there seemed to be some issues but not enough to just completely spin the favor of the round to the Akuma player. You know, I like to compare the reaction of DSP to lag to another streamer, i think it was Maximilian Dood, when he played 3rd strike. I remember seeing this match where he hit the opponent and the "KO" message briefly flashed on screen, but it was somehow rolled back by the game due to it being out of sync or something, and the match continued. Maximilian just shaked his head and said "tch!", like he was used to the game's netcode being garbage.
Now, if that happened to Gout Boy, he would spend a month complaining about the stooopid ahnline lag, dood!
My favorite part is when he gets hit by Akuma's F+MP and then complains he was blocking...he was, but he was crouch blocking an OVERHEAD attack. You need to be standing in order to block these types of attacks. Further proof Phil has no clue what's he talking about when it comes to fighting games. (at least, most of the time)
