I think the main reason this is getting attention is well, the fact that tons of sites started making bold threats to ban anyone who they think is a Nazi all at once, and Tor is seen as the "last outpost" for internet freedom. Combine that with the "Give an inch, take a mile" mentality of the left as seen with other websites, and it's easy to see why many are up in arms over this.
