Mass Effect Andromeda: Shitstorm Edition - RIP Biowear

A former developer on Autism Effect, say that it was worse than anyone realized. He also say that there were racism involved. The developer in question? None other than Manveer Heir. You know, that guy who was a massive racist to begin with.

Yeah, I doubt anything that guy says.

When you posted that picture, I knew I saw that face before:

It has to be the shitty lighting right? I mean...right? I really hope it is just human pattern recognition fucking up and not that that some animator inserted a random cosplayer.

But I mean the line of the jaw, the way her face dimples with her smile....it has to be human pattern recognition. Nobody is this stupid, this pathetic, not even at Bioware. There are things I can believe, but I struggle that even Bioware was this stupid and incompetent not to notice that their main protagonist didn't look like the model they hired. I mean, she doesn't, at all. But this is some next level shit.

I'm chalking it up to human pattern recognition...except Jayde Rossi has hazel eyes while Sara and the Cosplayer have blue...

Ok, I'm gonna stop now before I get into Alex Jones territory. Human pattern recognition error, it isn't based off her but it looks REALLY REALLY similar.

That explanation just makes the most sense to me (despite the above with me going all hyperbolic). If you look at Rossi, she has a very vaguely similar lines along her jaw and mouth to both Ryder and the cosplayer. Not to mention the French version of the game had a better Ryder before it was patched out. The thing is the model uglied up enough looks like the cosplayer. Which I mean, the cosplayer isn't ugly, just the model is so fucking terrible. But yeah, it is really eerily similar.

ME has TERRIBLE lighting, animation and modeling so it isn't a shock that the uglied up Ryder looks like a completely different person.

Somebody on 4chan decided to let her know

After the Team Lead, who is a racist, decided to try and cover his ass by complaining things went bad because of racism. If that guy is the Team Lead, how pathetic must the people below him be?

Potentially they could be competent. They might have kicked him upstairs to management so he wouldn't fuck up the actual substance of the game.

I suppose at least it won't be a fucking pachinko title, but it's still an ignominious end for what was a great series.

It'll be worse. They'll stuff it full of micro transactions and pay to win and when people deride it they'll say that they must have innovated too much.

That being said, a Mass Effect pinball would be quite cool.

Asking here because I can't seem to find a straight answer anywhere else, but has anybody stuck with the game through the various patches and updates? I'd like to get it for xbone but the reviews for the vanilla game mention rampant FPS issues.

To my mild shame, I have. It's a playable game, and not absolute dogshit like many of the reviews would have you believe, it was just rushed out and couldn't hold a candle to the original trilogy. The updates have fixed a fair few of the initial problems though.

I play on ps4, so have no idea about performance on the xbone.

Like DangerousGas said, it's a fair game on its own. I'll even outright admit that I enjoyed it for what it was. It's just kind of depressing when you think about what could've been; there were originally going to be, what, 70 explorable worlds?

But yeah, it's definitely playable and not the worst thing ever that so many people claim it to be.

I just recently completed the game on the Xbox One, so here's my two cents on the game. Those patches made various improvements to the game, such as polishing the eyes of characters, expanding the inventory space, and adding the option to skip the transitions to planets. As far as FPS issues are concerned, it feels smooth outside of a few times when the combat has tons of enemies and effects going on, and driving the Nomad can sometimes "freeze" in place for a few seconds (I think this is the game loading the areas ahead of you), but overall it's playable.

As for the game itself, while it certainly could've been better, I still really enjoyed my time with it, and I think that it's better than the first game. The main quest was decent, had a good variety of locations and some fun battles, but it felt somewhat short. The side quests can be pretty good, particularly the Loyalty Missions, but the Tasks (a subcategory for quests) are things like fetch quests and can sometimes feel pointless. The multiplayer, outside of having to level up each character individually (this can be very annoying and tedious), is basically more of 3's MP, so if you liked that, you should have a fun time with this.

All in all, I'd say give it a shot, especially since you can get it for like $20 these days.
