I wonder what future generations will make of Chris and of us.

200 years from now there will be films about the "mythical" figure called the Our Pet Lolcow and the trolls that plagued him.

I would find it extremely amusing if there was some sort of civilizational collapse, and scholars of the future end up having to reconstruct the history of everything before, let's say, the 2030s based solely on the documentation of the life of one Christian W. Chandler, simply because it's the most complete record. Then they'll attempt to model their system of government on that supposed "wisdom of the ancients" and civilization will promptly collapse a second time.

Most people are remembered by a couple of things and their legacies are forgotten about, Chris has far more exposure, documentation, and subjective analyses than anyone else in history I'd argue.

Well, I can think of one other person...

i'm embarrassed to admit i never made it to algebra 2. it took me like 3 years to complete algebra 1
I think you can still feel better than Chris there, though. The fact that you took the class three times meant the teachers thought there was a chance you might learn it with another attempt. Chris' teachers knew there was no way he was ever going to learn the material, so he got "passing" grades just so they could be rid of him. It's not like he'd learn anything more sleeping through Algebra 2 than he would sleeping through Algerbra 1 a second time.
I noticed that when he did the D.C. voting one, he referred to the District of Columbia as simply "Columbia" and drew a picture of what looks strangely like an outline of the state of South Carolina. It makes me wonder if he thinks voting rights were granted to the city of Columbia, South Carolina, rather than Washington, D.C.!
I was wondering what the hell he was thinking there as well. I mean how could he not know about Washington, DC, when he lives only two hours from it? Your theory about Columbia, SC, might be correct, but that's almost three times farther going the other direction.
Holding onto old stuff isn't good. I ran into a paper I wrote when I was like 15, and it was super godawful angsty teenager crap. So, y'know, the world is evil and I have perfect solutions for everything and stuff like that. I was horribly embarrassed for myself. But then I shredded it. And I almost squealed with pleasure. Aha! Now it's gone! No one will ever read my retarded teenaged sperging again!
Meanwhile your 10th grade haircut will follow you in family photographs forever!

Of course the same thing goes for Chris, but in reverse. Chris might be just as ashamed of his 10th grade haircut as everyone else, but everyone else looking at his haircut today would wonder why.
Yep. Definitely a "move him along" conveyor belt grade. I suspect a lot of the grades were padded a bit to make up for the ones where he didn't even bother to show up. Even with that I can't make everything add up to a D, so I suspect his teacher REALLY didn't want to deal with him a second year and fudged the weighting or something to be rid of him.
He said he voted for Obama in 2008, but I think that it may have been the only time he's voted.
It may well be he just thought Obama should win and told a few people and thinks that's the same as voting.

Maybe, but his audience is pretty small for all that. For all the documentation on Chris, more people will probably know who, say, Einstein is than will ever hear of Chris.
LONG STORY SHORT, Chris either got a fancy sash to make him feel special OR he actually made honor roll for less than average intelligence classes. Either way, he shouldn't be bragging nearly as much as he did.
Or?

If technologically advanced aliens ever visited Earth and the Internet, they would probably find the CWCki and promptly destroy us for being slow-in-the-minds.

I dunno, he did pretty well on the tests comparatively, and at least at my school tests were weighted higher than other assignments. It might be possible he made a D depending on the weighting...

I want to know all his high school grades now
hint hint skyraider you already implied you have them
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't it say on the CWCki that Chris's academic transcripts are accessible to the public? If so then why couldn't someone like Marvin who lives in the area try calling Manchester High for a copy sooner?

I just did the math. Assuming his class graded like my high school did (25% for homework and quizzes, 75% for tests), he would have made exactly 70% after rounding up (he actually got 69.95%). I'm not shocked, either--that first Pride and Prejudice grade looks like it was probably a open answer quiz that caught him off guard.

We also don't know what the honor roll requirements were at MHS. At my school, we just had to have a GPA of 3.5 or higher, but I've heard of schools that will give out honor roll sashes to anyone who can score 3.0 or higher.

I'm pretty sure my school was A/B for honor roll, which I didn't make because I had a C in AP Calculus lol

So skyraider is the one rummaging through the barbage over there.

edit: You should sell those on ebay and watch Chris' head explode.

Yes! Please do! I wish I could hit the Like link more than once on this idea! :ween::ween::ween::ween:

It wasn't found. It was obtained.

Legally, if it was in the trash, it's up for grabs. No crime was committed. SR could sell a few of these off to pay for the strippers at this year's CWCki Forum Xmas party if he wanted to.

(Go asians this year, please. No more Gingers)

Oh my god, two passing grades out of the entire semester! No wonder he was so pissed at the teacher, if his teachers usually passed him for much less effort. That is amazing. :heart-full:

Also, for people commenting on his labeling assignments with period numbers: it's not unheard of. At my middle and high schools you always had to label assignments and tests with the period number. Hell, it wasn't unusual either to fill out your information in non-standard formats. Most of my teachers had weird little preferences and some years I used five or six different formats for my classes. But the period number was almost always there.

This was his junior year and Song of Christian was his sophomore year, I believe. Nonetheless, if his English trends were continuous...

^Same in my middle and high school, it made it much easier for the teachers to grade and give back your papers if you specified what period number you were on because they usually taught the same class several times in a day. So Chris doing it really isn't odd in that regard.

Sooo is Chris aware of this leak yet? I'm going to assume not since he's not having an all-out meltdown yet.

Like I said in an earlier thread, those new neighbors of his at the rental house are going to hear so much noise coming out of those windows.
