Do you think going outside and marching for political causes is important anymore? To me it's fucking comical and watching these 20-something retards show up to "fight" is even worse.

I think anarchy is interesting purely from a philosophical point of view, and think many of the old anarchist criticisms of authority are legit.

I think it can be a great way to draw attention to important issues. When a large crowd of people gathers in one place with signs and chants it tends to attract media attention, which leads to the group's ideas being spread. It also serves as a display of political power. If you can demonstrate the capability to rally a massive number of people in one spot in support of your ideas you put pressure on politicians to support your cause or risk being voted out.

I think going to a rally these days seems to just be for the drama and the fighting. Every damn rally has had shit tons of press and Morons going to it just for the By Lines and the 15 seconds of fame it will get them. Take the whole Charlottesville thing. People were trucked in for that shit. Trucked. in. Most rally's back in the day (about 6 months ago?) were only peopled by the denizens of the area that protest or rally was to be held in. Then came Berkley and the whole "Peaceful Protest" thing went out the window.

It all depends on who's hosting the political rally. Going out to support a politician that you agree with is perfectly fine and can help them get elected, but protesting just for the same of gaining visibility is the height of narcissism.

It was tough making a selection on the poll. On the one hand, it's tough to beat the sheer amount of autism within antifa and its related organizations, but the alt-right seems to be an endless well of new self-humiliation techniques. It's really a matter of quantity versus quality. In my opinion, the alt-right only wins out because they started a tiki torch tribe.
