Of all things mentioned, I never considered the fact that he has a gap in his resume/employment. I mean, sure there are thousands of Youtubers with similar gaps in their Linkedin or on their digital resumes, but what is Phil’s takeaway from his decade of Youtube?
If you just look at the numbers, he's got a decently solid takeaway: Respectable number of subs, nice number of views, long history with a well-known partner company.
But you can't JUST look at the numbers. He spent the better portion of the last decade working for Machinima and got booted on horrible terms so they'll do him no favors when a potential employer contacts them to verify that Phil didn't just piss away all those years. If they bother to look him up at all - which is guaranteed to happen out of sheer curiosity if anything - then there's a ton of material telling them to not hire him and it's all a click away. There are videos of him badmouthing his former employer, begging for money, chimping out over video games, refusing to accept responsibility for anything, being a disgusting slob in his personal life, and so much more.
He'll be so fucked when he'll need to get a real job. Hope he can flip burgers without eating them all.
