My impression is that Vidar's a genuinely nice and clever person, but he messe up in two instances:
1. Being funny without anyone online laughing.
I think most of his donations to DSP started out as a hilarious prank - thinking people would be like "Haha, amazing troll, man! You're WILD man!", which most of his IRL pals did do. Problem started when he actually started getting some attention for it, so he kept going until the joke wasn't funny anymore, and then it was to late to turn around.
2. Grew fond of Sargon of Akkad and all these "I can use arguments!" people on the internet.
It's obvious that he started with that DSP-joke (?) in the beginning which later got the attention of King of Pol etc. and I think he looked at this as finally being a part of the same kinda thing as Sargon etc. where you take part in "serious" discussions and always have to use the best, most logical arguments to win. Problem with all 3 of them is that neither of them will properly admit when they're wrong, and will rather try to make up some amazing argument instead of going with the truth, which gets even messier when your English is shit.
Those two points I think he's guilty of.
The rest of it is just funny nitpicking.
