From everything I've been able to tell DSP has never registered a business for the stuff he does. I doubt he has credit through an incorporated entity.

Cant find any open businesses in the department of revenue for Renton under DSP, burnell, phil burnell, etc. Which would have been smart, but, it's DSP. There IS DSP Enterprises (lol) in Maple Valley but that's not anywhere near Renton.

Between Patreon and Twitch he makes like 3k+ a month why is he crying about shitty KOgaming. It's funny cause his shitty videos make 500 views initially from BSV playing them over and over in a playlist. Youtube putting a 1k tier on them to remove the advertiser unfriendly tag is glorious.

If he had sold the condo before the move he could have been putting patreon into his savings account since 2015 LOL.

So for others who might have missed this. Recently, BSV false flagged my twitch.tv channel. I appealed it and it was approved within 24 hours. I have filed a counter-claim and asked for a range ban on BSV for his antics. I gave them information on his Nazi sympathetic remarks & info from his thread here. Twitch staff are still making a decision and will get back to me but they seem to agree a IP range Ban might be the route they take as they seemed very interested in the Nazi statements hes made.

Why is this important to DSP? Well, if/when BSV gets a IP range ban from the site that means 3 things immediately will occur for Phil.

1. No more massive cheers, bits, Donations through his channel. He will lose a large chunk of revenue he's use to getting from BSV

2. No top staff anymore, allowing the chat to become alittle less totalitarian with him gone

3. DSP will have to find a new cash cow to help him out, something he can't do without BSV

BSV will only be able to pledge and donate to a specific account if possible. No more twitch money though.

Info here
Update: BSV might be getting an IP Ban on twitch.tv from my report. How will he pay for DSP now!View attachment 270639

Curious how Google determines whether a video is fit to be monetized or not. I doubt they have the capability to accurately parse the audio in the video and the recent video that Phil uploaded is just him sitting on a couch so it doesn't seem to be computer vision. Perhaps they look at some pattern of likes/dislikes?

Youtube's machines do parse the audio. They create automatic subtitles by scanning and parsing the audio. You can get the machine-generated transcript of any youtube video by clicking on the three dots and choosing "show transcript".

They can totally catch swear words and flag them. I don't know if it's confirmed that that causes videos to become advertiser unfriendly, though -- and besides, something else is clearly going on with KOGaming.

As an aside: It was also said in one of MatPat's videos about how youtube works - so it must be true - that youtube's machines may even have a rudimentary ability to tell a good custom thumbnail from a bad one (or none at all). Their image analysis can tell if a thumnail has some of the qualities they prefer: human faces, text and numbers, and a high resolution.

I've dug a bit into what he claims his business name DSP enterprises is. There is an LLC registered in Seattle called DSP enterprises. However the owner (governor) of that company is not Phil. Now, this could mean that Phil has registered DSP enterprises as a sole proprietorship (which are VERY difficult to track down because they're not required to register at a state level, only at a federal level for their tax ID)
Now, what does this mean, does this mean that Phil is using a shell company? Not necessarily. With sole proprietorships they can name themselves whatever they want within reason. You cannot name yourself a trademarked name, but as far as I've found, DSP Enterprises is not a trademarked name like Apple or Starbucks.
However using the DSP Enterprises business name, the LLC could challenge Phil's usage of the name as they're both in the same geographical area. The DSP Enterprises could challenge Phil, however since they seem to not do business in the same genre. Phil being entertainment and the LLC seeming to be something to do with timeshares in California.

Considering Phil does seem to do his taxes as a self employed individual doing the quarterly estimated taxes, the sole proprietorship doing business as DSP Enterprises does seem to make sense. These sole proprietorships can obtain credit in the business' name, they have their own tax ID number, but unlike an LLC they dont have the protection of their assets should the business fail or should the business be sued. In a sole proprietorship, the individual and the company are one individual. For more information on sole proprietorships https://definitions.uslegal.com/s/sole-proprietorship/

What Phil fails to understand is that these measures are Youtube's reaction against big advertisers pulling their money out of the platform... in part because a lot of people monetizing their channels are immature, greedy, low-effort schmucks like himself. If Youtube wasn't pushing for these changes, he'd lose his easy money nonetheless.

Every time he has one of these difficulties with his ad money, it shows more and more that the Laveria guy was absolutely on spot about his content being low-tier garbage that no advertiser wants to be related with.

He can't just go using whatever name he wants without registering his DBA with the state. Those records are public just like business incorporation registrations. In CT you can search CONCORD and in WA you can search here.

Regarding taxes, an LLC (there's no reason for someone like DSP to set up a corporation) is a passthrough entity in both CT and WA so the quarterly taxes are no different than a sole proprietor.

I wonder if DSP originally got a bunch of credit under his name, then under a sole proprietor EIN, and will someday move on to under an LLC EIN. That would be godlike fraud.

Expanding on this, have you guys used Google Photos? It's no joke. Upload your photo library to it, and you can search for things like "game controllers" "dog" "front lawn" etc and it's staggering how accurate it is.

If the Patreon goal gets fulfilled at this point its pretty much a guarantee that Phil pays the difference himself.
Or more likely a lie. "Great news guys! We hit the funding goal for August! Three patreeyins pledged HUGE amounts and got us above the goal, then immediately lowered their pledges so they wouldn't get double charged which conveniently makes it unverifiable to anybody but myself!"

I can verify when/if that happens.
