It seems to me that the artist would have completed his work by now, since he's delaying the publication of a book and risking a bad review. This is merely speculation, but could he have figured out who the author is, and refused to have anything more to do with the project?

I like to think that the artist, at some point, googled Russell and knows everything and possibly reads this thread. I would also like to speculate that it's possible that Russell has been rude to the artist at least twice during communications.

I love Russ's reasoning, that it was all the agent's fault that Russ said those awful things to that girl. Russell's really taking the "Look what you made me do" to heart, in the most abuser/victim blamey way possible.
