Sadly, like most lolcows, he's his own worst enemy. He might be able to make some progress with his life by working on giving up the drugs, finding a job, etc, but he doesn't even try. He's content to live off his ill-gotten gains, hoping the drugs and alcohol kill him before he runs out of money. It's likely that he was never the sharpest tool in the shed to begin with, but any wasted life is a tragedy.

Danny is what the Nazi's would call a mischling, so they wouldn't have treated him well at all. He would have to apply for a deutschblütigkeitserklärung to be considered German, and even then many would consider him non-German.

Anyone who was non-Aryan. That would include the Poles who were sub-human. Danny, being Polish, would have been born in a Ausländerkinder-Pflegestätte. Basically a group home of sorts with other Polish and Soviet children.
One saving grace, only around 10% of those children survived. You didn't want to be in one of those places.
