He is good at pushing people over to alternative sites however. He's not going to appease any leftists, especially as many of them on Twitter link to Weasyl or Tumblr instead of FA or use Twitter to post art.

Not really. Though you get some action on those sites (or Inkbunny for the real pedos), the mainstream furry community just keeps coming back to FA like an abused spouse. To date, they always come back.

I'm not so sure about that. Posting your art on Twitter/Tumblr is sure to attract people outside the furry community to your art, especially people who RT fanart or for the "I'm only in it for the porn" types. It nets you far more exposure, likes, and follows to post your art there than it does to post it to a dedicated art site, even with the limitations both sites have with resolutions. Plus, people are going to repost art anyways without giving credit on Twitter/Tumblr, so having a presence there is pretty much essential to getting noticed now in the fandom.

Furthermore, many furries now seem to use E621 to search for pr0n and whatnot, especially since it's tags and search system are miles better than that of Furaffinity.

As for weasyl, plenty of the left leaning types on FurAffinity were closing their accounts or going inactive out of protest for the whole Zaush incident, where an asshat and alleged rapist was made staff and many of the left leaning types no longer felt like FurAffinity was a safe space. While there were other incidents after that such as the password leaks and the IMVU sale, that was the major incident that caused left leaning types to get off Furaffinity, and you'll notice many left leaning furries have inactive Furaffinity accounts.
