He's so scared someone might use the idea of a yandere and actually make a real game. People put up with how creepy he is because it is an interesting concept for a video game. But he doesn't own the idea of Yandere.

Knowing Alex, he probably looked into trademarking it.

Also, I like how he wanted to make a censored version of the merch video. Why, Alex? Because people under 18 need to be begging their parents to walk around in your merch, advertisting a game about murdering school children?

As expected, Alex re-uploaded a censored version of his later video.
Jesus Christ the ignorance here is so god-obvious that I'm beginning to think he's doing this on purpose. Youtube flagging the video for an ultra-stabbing cgi animation or a shitty "muder scene" with fucking plushies makes no logical sense because if that was the reason (which it wasn't) then literally every video of his would be age-restricted. The sole reason this was restricted was for the lewd scene with a naked minor, and uncensored no less. And Alex knows this. Because while it may not seem obvious at first glance, what he's actually doing here is subtly exaggerating what actually happened in order to garner sympathy from his hivemind of fans. He went ahead and waaaaaay overcensored everything, even when there was nothing wrong with it in the first place, and did so with a tone that suggested that Youtube was the one completely in the wrong for thinking of censoring this poor, poor soul's video, to make those watching it think "Wow, Youtube is waaaay too uptight, they need to stop censoring people's content!" That murder scene didn't need a new snarky comment. Censoring Senpai being stabbed by Ayano was not neccessary. But why just do some minor censoring when you can milk some extra sympathy points out of it, right?

I honestly cannot see how any of this merchandise is something to get excited about? He is trying to show it as a big gain for the fans, but you could literally print the logo out at a print shop and iron it onto a blank shirt for less than a third of the cost. There's no reason to pay these prices except to support the sproject, and then you might as well just toss your money into the Patreon pit. I was honestly expecting him to make the stockings of the rivals into merch, or maybe have his volunteers make some splash shirt designs. After 700+ pages, you'd think I'd have learned better...

he probably didn't make the stockings because it'd be more difficult than basic logo shirts

Builds have been coming out for years, but now, and only now, is Alex considering adding more than one spot to hide a corpse.
Not only that, but there's still a glaring flaw with the entire concept of poorly-hidden bodies triggering a police investigation that he's yet to address.
If you try to attend class and a corpse is anywhere except the bathroom stall, a cutscene appears where a teacher 'discovers a corpse when walking around school' and the day ends immediately.
If you kill people and their bodies are literally anywhere off the path to a classroom, nothing happens as long as you don't attend class. Teachers don't check to make sure nobody's lingering in club rooms or outside the building.
"Murder should not be easy," alex says, letting you hide 20+ dead bodies in the art club room all day with absolute ease.
But of course, the game is less than 50% finished, guys. Why should he should fix weird inconsistencies already in the game when he could add entirely new 'features' to fake progress?

Wtf i thought the bathroom was a like this because Alex never programmed anyone to go there but he actually intended that? How can he think the bathroom would be a good hiding spot??? Students and teachers alike will be coming in and out of it constantly and they will smell the corpse, it's the (non hyporbilic) worst place you could dump a body.

Did Alex even play Hitman games? He must have since he stole SO much from it (woodchipper, rat poison, animations, mission mode and more...). At least in those games you hide corpses in closets, freezers, dumpsters, etc. I don't even know how he can steal so much from hitman but not one of it's core stealth mechanics that many games use.

What a petulant child. "You're only allowed to play MY game!" Homie, you didn't invent the Yandere trope. Stop acting like you own it.

It doesn't even work properly sometimes.
Also I may have been wrong, I believe you can also hide bodies in dumpsters if you put more trash over it afterwards to hide it. I can't remember if that's a method of hiding or disposing. Maybe that's okay, since it probably smells like shit anyway. But the bathroom spot really is an awful one.

On another note, wouldn't burning a body in the incinerator give off a horrible stench? And is the woodchipper a viable method to dispose of bodies? Can it really cut a human up that cleanly? And why is there so little blood?

The only realistic one I can think of is the burying. If the body was buried deep enough, it might not be found, at least for awhile. But then you can't be seen digging, plus you'd have to dig pretty deep, wouldn't you? That takes time. It's the gardening club, people mess around with that soil.

A bit off-topic, but this reminded me about one crazy motherfucker from the 19th century: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H._H._Holmes
The guy literally built a death hotel in Chicago. A room for gassing people? Check. An incinerator? Check. Carrying out dead bodies in coffers? Check. Dismembering bodies? Check. Targeting mostly young women? Check.
The only difference was a lack of senpai.

I legit saw a couple YouTubers hype this game up 5 years ago or something. Is the game ever going to be finished? Why is killing high schoolers so complicated?
It couldn't be five, the game started on April Fools 2014. And to answer your questions: 1. maybe, but I don't hope to live that long 2. because apart of few hardcoded interactions, the core of the game is stabbing people and hiding their bodies, which is the dumbest way to murder in a crowded public space like a school.

Yanderedev is so deadset on making sure Yansim isn't finished that he's trying to stop other people from doing it for him. Now that's what I call dedication.

I checked that.
Guess fucking what.
The only US trademark containing the word "yandere" is... "Yandere School", registered by Martynenko Vsevolod Oleksandrovych, with a note that
NO CLAIM IS MADE TO THE EXCLUSIVE RIGHT TO USE "SCHOOL" APART FROM THE MARK AS SHOWN
Martynenko doesn't claim "school". Makes sense, it's a very generic word. But there's nothing about a much more unique word "yandere". So... Martynenko could stir some legal trouble for Alex about using the word "yandere" as a trademark?

And "lovesick"? There are several trademarks bearing that name, but nothing worth noting. Mostly clothes and apparel by Hot Topic.

He probably didn't add hiding bodies like in hitman because it's harder than just dragging and dropping them somewhere no one will walk to.

Always assume "incompetence" first when talking about Alex.

why.

I don't know if an incinerator would realistically work, bones are harder to burn than you would think. Industrial cremation furnaces can take over an hour to burn a full body into ashes, i seriously doubt a small school thrash incinerator would have the same energy for that, at least not in mere 5 minutes like the game does.

The wood chipper would obviously not work lol, it's made to chip WOOD not meat and bones, it would clog and make a mess. But i don't mind it really, the woodchipper is like using a chainsaw to kill zombies, it's actually very unrealistic but it's awesome and it's a videogame anyway so it's debatable .

Burying wouldn't work either, the corpse would bloat and smell awful, i posted here before that the police dogs are extremely competent and would still find the corpse even if Ayano buried a decoy with it. Even if we ignore that and how Ayano would require a lot of time to dig seven feet deep, the gardening club is a bad place because the members would immediatly find out something is wrong.

In other words, there is still no realistic way Ayano is hiding a corpse, at least not for a full day in this school. If anything Ayano shouldn't be hiding them as much as getting them out of school immediatly, and dumping somewhere that it would take months to find (like a river). Either that or hiding them in an specific way that is only possible due to special opportunity in the school. This of course, would be done better if it was quality over, a few logical ways to kill and hide the body depending on your rival and school week over +50 ways to murder and many flawed hiding methods.

Like say, imagine that one week the incinerator breaks and you can't use it, instead, a thrash truck comes at XX hour everyday and takes the thrashbags. You would need to kill the rival, dismember her, put each limb in a thrash bag, clean the mess and putting the bags in the right place, then they take the corpse and nobody realizes what happened. While that sounds simple in theory, the challenge would be doing it all perfectly before the truck comes, this is why having a whole week helps, you would memorize the schedules and prepare everything. (this is just a theorical example of course)
