I will say, her politics aren't particularly original. Is is she actually a convert to Catholicism or was she raised Catholic? It certainly seems an odd thing to jump onto, especially in the US, but since her surname doesn't sound immediately Polish, Italian, German, Irish, Lithuanian, Spanish or some other ethnicity traditionally associated with Catholicism I could see it going either way.

I can't help but wonder if she isn't emulating her boyfriend's "politics" because she's a dumb teenager, and she thinks this makes her more mature and sophisticated. I'm sure once she graduates and lives with this loser for a couple years, her tune will change. She'll probably still be stupid, but there's a reason this guy isn't hooking up with women closer to his age. Just my two cents there.

Also, I find the ultra-conservative, right wing Catholics to be an interesting phenomena. They exist, and in fact seem more appealing to non-Catholic Christians and converts. Given that Catholics were seen as "foreigners" for much of US history, it's ironic that now you have an entire subset of nutters who see Catholicism as a way of "preserving the white race" and crap.

Yeah, his Facebook is flooded with posts of him talking about how he's not legally allowed to see his daughters and how he has no custody rights. And yet here he is, getting with this 18 year old with daddy issues.
