Yep, the latest craze is having pennywise and the babadook in a gay relationship. Never mind that pennywise/It is a shapeshifting abomination that probably doesn't have a gender or sexuality to begin with and I'm not sure if the babadook is even sentient, let alone a being that has a concept of gender and sexuality comparable to humans. Nope, kids have decided they're gay dudes.

So. Hetalia. I used to be a fan but I was pulled in by the premise of "world histoy and trivia represented by bishies". The yaoi teasing inside the show is pretty tame and understated since it's a comedy for young men but soon it was polluted by really stereotypical yaoi fangirls, complete with "bashing every single girl because she is in the way of my ship". Hungary occasionally gets a pass since she is a "strong female" and a yaoi fangirl herself but sometimes not even that.

The fanbase died a little since there were no major updates of this webcomic or scanlations of the published manga, but as soon as it gets any of those (and the new season of the anime helped), the fanbase comes back from the dead.

Italy and France are bisexuals (based on stereotypes, both are parodies of the suave character), Sweden is gay (again, stereotype joke and really understated in his case) and Germany has a somewhat yaoi-filled storyline with Italy, which is the only reason the latter is bi at all, he would be straight otherwise and there are only two cases of outright sexual jokes (Greek having sex with Japan and Russia subtly teasing America, knowing that it would go all over his head). This might seem too much but those cases are self-contained and played off as jokes all the time along with everything else.

I'm actually more surprised that Tumblr likes this thing at all since it first came off as being "problematic" for some people because it started off with the Axis Powers being the protagonists and the dub is "/pol/: The anime". Guess the yaoi has calmed them down.

There was no fuss probably because there's mentions of the dictators besides Germany referring to Hitler as his "boss" and if I'm right he wasn't stoked about him being in charge.

I'm genuinely surprised Hetalia's fanbase even has pulse. A little bit before this SJW jargon people always complained about how the countries didn't look "poc enough."

Not to mention that the vitiligo drawn here (and on most of Tumblr), is not remotely anatomically correct. They draw the spots in giant random stripes and blotches all over the place with zero understanding of how the condition actually manifests.

Vitiligo very seldom appears in random spots like the pattern on a pinto pony. For most people with vitiligo, the inactive melanocytes are clustered around small extremities, like the nose, ears, fingers, toes, and eyelids. Also important to note is that 90% of vitiligo cases of non-segmental, meaning they effect the body in a mostly symmetrical pattern. None of that is represented in how Tumblr draws it.

Also worth noting is that just under 1% of the world population is effected by it regardless of race. Yep, there are brown and white people who have it too, Tumblr.

As a white person with a mild, segmented case of vitiligo, it irks the shit out of me whenever I see people slap it on their (always black) characters all willy-nilly. It's not like patches on a fucking cat; it's an obnoxious skin condition that makes you self-conscious, even if you're pale as fuck.

Also, here's a fun fact you'd never learn from Tumblr: vitiligo is usually linked to hay fever.

"Camp Camp" is an adult comedy cartoon animated by the same people who made RWBY and Red vs. Blue. It's basically Camp Lazlo with human characters and "adult" humor. While it's not terrible, it's not especially funny for a comedy; at best, maybe a quarter of the jokes on it work. Pretty much the only reason anyone cares about it is because one of the most popular guys on Achievement Hunter voices the main character.
