Question:
Does Phil even answer the questions he gets on Patreon?
Look you need to understand the social mechanics here. He has to maintain his position. He can't just associate with fucking commoners.

Question:
Does Phil even answer the questions he gets on Patreon?
What happened to Phil make him so bitter? Some really close friends of mine play games, and we enjoy taking some time each week to play stuff together. One of those activities we will do semi-regularly is playing various forms of content in Destiny, including raids. We all really enjoy it and see it as a chance to sit back and spend time together. I would think a lot of people can understand that. We live in an age where technology can make up for the problem of distance for friends and family, and can provide a chance for us to stay connected with people after work and life move people away from each other. When you sit and compare how much access people have to each other now versus 40 years ago, it's pretty damn remarkable.
I get that part of Phil's issue with this is an age thing. Kids staying inside all day glued to a screen is a somewhat-valid argument often posed by adults deemed out-of-touch. But it comes off as the ranting of a bitter old man who doesn't have anyone real connected to him. He's out there alone, and he's clearly unhappy about that. As a defense against this loneliness he himself created, he laughs to keep from crying.
Did Phil ever even display geniune positive sides other than repulsive narcissism in his life?
- Gave away empty game boxes thinking it's something his fans would appreciate.
- Treated his daughter-girlfriend even during her reveal vid on YouTube as if to publicly brag to his viewers: 'Look at this pussy I'm scoring, I'm so cool! *snort*' in his mind.
- Exploits issues other YouTubers face and even deaths purely for monetary gain.
- Openly berates and mocks his enablers, and he still wonders why he's so disliked.
- Was a pretentious know-it-all whiner even during his SF2 glory days.
The only instance I can truly think of was whenever John appeared (or other friends of his for that matter like with Mario and Sonic Olympics) where he kept his usual bitching to a minimum and seemed to actually have fun bullshitting alongside John. Those seem to stand out to me as the only instances where Phil seemed like a decent human being around another human.
No. He expects you to pledge $20 to get a guaranteed Ask the King question, helpfully in the early portion of the show so it's real obvious these people paid $20, perhaps even twice in a row in the same episode, for the privilege. He also expects you to pledge $50 to get a private Q&A video... which leads onto this that I want to clear up:Question:

That was a cause of some fun confusion at the time. People even started throwing a rumour around that DSP had paid $50 for a camgirl video from the (apparently transgender) girl on the right. However Juston Lango is the guy on the left, and was thanking DSP for a $50 private Q&A video. Also what the fuck is this:

In fact he played for a little over 24 hours, or an average of just under 3.5 hours of recorded YT gameplay videos per stream.
EDIT: It's a good thing I posted earlier about the thumbnails running out, I'm now doing my daily views caps... and DSP's fan minion did get him Mario+Rabbids thumbnails for 76+. Still nothing for Destiny 2 101+ though.View attachment 280431
He really doesn't even make his own YouTube thumbnails?
Jesus you could make one in fucking MS paint or powerpoint. What a fuckwit.

Any decent ethical adult would find that honoring their obligation would be the "perfect choice" you fat greedy buffoon.
He still thinks it is a way to game the system. So can someone explain why he chops up his videos into so many pieces still? The few LPers I watch don't really do this and will have long videos uploaded to youtube once they're finished on Twitch. I sometimes see these streamers who have little-to-no name recognition pulling in 200+ viewers when playing a 30 year old game on a weeknight but Phil is struggling to keep those numbers on day one releases during prime time.

Are there even any other streamers who do all this "schedule", "prestream", "patreon's choice" shit? The schedule in particular is so bizarre to me, I don't watch people on Twitch but I can't imagine any of them actually keep to a schedule.
I am more familiar with Patreon's associated with YouTube movie sites, and a patron's choice poll is very common. The difference between those and Phil is the movie reviewers/commentators take the inevitable terrible movie that is chosen with good humor and I've never seen one of them cancel it because it might not get the views of something more popular.
Also don't forget kids today is Dishonored: Death of the Outsider PREMIERE!!!!!!!!!!
I checked on Steam and people have already played through the entire game in the time it has taken for Phil to wake up and start streaming.
When asked before he said he would tell the employer ahead of time about his online reputation and how it is all lies. If the employer didn't hire him because of all the "lies" the person is obviously not smart and Phil would not want to work for them anyway.
Employers take things seriously if he believes he can walk in and say they were lies without anything to back it up then he's insane. He'll have to convince them that it was out of context and that's hard to do when it's on video.
Companies are terrified of a lawsuit so they won't take a risk if there are accusations of racism, etc around.
