Artcow Matt Furie - greasy, delusional furry porn artist who really hates the meme he created, litigious ANTIFA

Matt Furie is in the news again, with a fluff piece from Vice bragging about how he's having a meltdown harder than a DeviantArtist/Furry who slapped 4000 "Do Not Steal" watermarks on his art.

Some uses of Pepe, like the major branding uses of sites that have some commercial features, like the Spencer shit and Cernobitch, are almost certainly infringing and fair use. Maybe even the big one on the subreddit. I haven't given it much thought.

Other uses, though, are almost certainly protected parody.

If they go pull a Church of Scientology with this bullshit, they could end up with the EFF on the other side.

@AnOminous I was thinking, Furie's argument will be that the affected works are not legally distinct from the originals. I imagine the defense will bring up the many, many alterations of Pepe. The most significantly distinct use of the character I can think of comes from when /r9k/ was trying to reclaim him from the 'normies' after Arianna Grande (or some other cunt) made a tweet containing Pepe while complaining about Jetlag. The /r9k/ ploy was to make Pepe and Wojack as obscene as possible, and the string of hideously offensive and grotesque images they made of him in this trend were called "pee-pee poo-poo". There is a very real chance that the words "pee-pee poo-poo" will appear in a court document.

I like this idea.

Also, as much as Matt FURRY may hate it, the increasingly obscene uses of Pepe are actually more likely to be viewed as parody. For reasons I said in the Cernobitch thread.

I can't post this thing too many times anyway, because it is the most obviously fair use parody of this dumb faggot's creation.

I bet he really, really wants this one gone. It may be the actual parody that threw him into a berserk tantrum.

It's very, very obviously fair use, and obviously parody, though.

I'm sure this will all turn out super well and not at all backfire super hard.

Seriously though, what the fuck is up with liberals declaring war on memes? Hilary, CNN, this guy...
They think "If we can beat the memes, we can beat the internet!" It's just a little frog that not even his creator can handle. It's just a frog, yet they get so mad over it, which is where the hilarity comes in.

This is like those decals of Calvin pissing on stuff. Pandora’s box was opened, it’s too late to close it. Matt is such an idiot for making a big deal out of this. Hillary was the first idiot and kicked off the streissand effect but this will just prolong it and wreck Matt’s life in the process.

I have to admit, I get a kick out of rare Pepe’s.
