I'm legitimately curious about this. (God help me.) I agree with you initially, but for Russ this is about power. I think initially he would want the girlfriend experience and basic, no frills sex. But I think over time that would fulfill his needs less and less, and his desires would become more extreme.

Russ doesn't just want to prove that he's as good as ever else. He wants to be BETTER. He doesn't just want a hot girlfriend, he wants Ariana Grande or Taylor Swift.

This need to prove that he's dominant, plus the misogyny already on display in his Facebook page, leads me to think that over time, he's going to escalate to more extreme fetishes that display his "power" over the poor girl he's paying to spend time with him.
