This looks like a perfect example of the old school trolling where you not only stirred up shit but did it in such a way that people believed you were serious (and indeed there's a chance it was...that's why it's perfect). Somewhere the trying to pass yourself off as genuine part was lost and "Dood, you got gout" is considered trolling. I'm happy to see the art isn't completely lost to internet history.

Edit: If posting "Dood you got gout" entertains you, then it's a fine thing. It's just not trolling by the original definition.

The planets need to align, DSP and LTG need to team up in a tournament for a Tekken Tag battle.
They always refuse to work with each other which is crazy. If they did a stream of sets against each other, like Phil does with that VenomousFatman sometimes, whenever a new fighting game came out no doubt it would get some attention. All well, it is not like either will ever get accused of being the smartest businessmen.

Hey look, more generalizing, just like his "master".

It would get thousands of viewers, and I dont think that's a gross overestimation. Their egos would ruin it before they even played a match, but we can still dream. DarksydePhil v DarkSkinPhil. Bigger than Mayweather v McGregor.

So it seems like the crisis is averted for now, since Phil refuses to tell people what's the real matter. My theory that it's the HOA is still holding up if you cancel out all other possiblilities and the fact that Phil is a pathological liar. In my opinion the notice he got last week was about the HOA worrying about the house's condition and that he has to come up with an explanation why the hous is in its current state. He may have worried that he had to open up his wallet to pay for repairing the house. The only thing I could imagine him losing the house due to the HOA is the house having mold beyond easy repair. A house full of mold cannot be sold and you cannot live in one unless you want to get serious health problems. Other reasons might include cracks in the ceiling or the roof being in bad condition.

The HOA might have collected some information about Phil, that he is running a business from his house, that he doesn't do gardening or cleaning the house properly, that there haven't been many repairmen at his house since he moved in. And Phil saw his lazy lifestyle in danger, because not only would he lose money, he would also lose time to lay around doing nothing because he has to organize and monitor the repairing of his house. Maybe the HOA has given him some more time to fix this. And as we see, a good start for Phil means he gets PS Vue.

Well. Considering that the only time he tried to socialize with her neighbor (as he was power-washing his driveway), he stupidly asked her if she heard him "working" from his home, I wonder how that could have happened...

Phil thought all his enemies were mentally ill kids, but the start of his downfall might be full on adults and elders! Still, I wouldn't be shocked if he had loose lips with the one lady that really respects the HoA, but isn't Phil pretty sheepish socially when he isn't talking down to people on stream? He couldn't even make chemistry with Leanna, with how long they were together.

The HOA theories seem like the most plausible right now, or at least the most backed up with fact.
Seeing as he's had to powerwash his driveway as well as get his furnace cleaned in a short span of time, it really suggests that something is going on there.

I personally doubt it has anything to do with running a 'business' but noise complaints, if they actually happened, probably didn't help matters. I'm personally doubting noise complaints, even though Phil gets a bit rowdy with da vidya he'd have to be extremely loud for others to be able to hear him.

Based upon some of the reading I did there may be a relationship between the HOA and bank in that if the bank has some indication the property is not being kept up to standard they could cause shit over it.

For the rest of the theories there isn't much backing information-wise just yet. All we know is that Phil is financially strapped (which he always is) and that he hasn't specifically excluded Leanna from things.

My personal top 3 theories of DSP's current emergency saga are these:
  1. HOA issues
  2. Bank/loan/credit/recall loan issues
  3. Leanna issues

Supposing it is HOA issues, it will be interesting to see Phil try and justify saying "it's not my fault!". He's consistently made this sound like it was an inevitable thing which would at least apply to banking/loan issues.

Correction: His solution is to get rid of cable and get very slightly cheaper online cable.

So based upon all the information so far Phil was paying $500 USD a month just for internet and Cable TV. That doesn't even include his mobile phone.

That's a ridiculously high amount of money for someone who is in a "difficult position financially". He mentioned recently how he has made some bad financial decisions in the past, perhaps oblivious that he could be making terrible financial decisions right now.

Phil, please never stop being exceptional.

He could easily bring down the spending in this department to something like $200 USD a month.

Attendance for his fighting game streams being at times triple what it is for other games is what assuredly has caused him to want to play them more.
It's a case of too little too late with his living situation in Washington now very much in doubt.

I know he gets a lot more views playing MvCI now, but he gets shit views when playing USF2. MvCI just came out, when the hype dies down he'll get back to his usual 300 views. His USF2 stream are pretty boring. There are so little players that he keeps fighting the same people over and over while providing little and stale commentary.
I thinks he just hit the jackpot but we all know it's gonna die down very soon.

From a non children's fighting game enthusiast's outsiders view, USF2 on the Switch seems like the most niche title possible. He seldom seems to have more than 2-3 opponents to pick from (most with terrible connections).

But I wouldn't be surprised to see him continue playing it while complaining how horrible it is while refusing to play more popular games like SFV... because its also terrible?
