Whoops guys she's on to us.
This is the same question I have for Tumblr fanart of Legos. They're literally yellow toys.Of all the fandoms to have gay poc headcanons for... why go with the Simpsons?
I guess they really do just want to complain about something like the virtue-signalling attention whores they are.Why Tumblr doesn't simply attach itself to the actual shows that do have diversity? You know, like Total Drama. It has diversity but it's not obnoxious about it.
I guess it's that the girls are too attractive. Why Tumblr doesn't simply attach itself to the actual shows that do have diversity? You know, like Total Drama. It has diversity but it's not obnoxious about it.

Well, this is a rare piece where tako isn't an ambiguous brown or obese. This isn't as bad as some fanart but more of like,, the icing on the huge shitfest that is the TAZ fandom imo.Probably because the Total Drama series mostly has its fandom on deviantArt, and that's its usual level of autistic sparkle recolors and whatnot. Also, it's not about partaking in actual diversity. It's about paying lip service to how existing things need to be more diverse, so they take a show with primarily, say, white people, or even ambiguously colored people, and make them all some shade of brown. It's kind of like last year's Oscars. Yes, the black Oscarbait movie won the Best Picture award, but La La Land (with its white protags) won everything else. It's Hollywood's equivalent of diversity lip service.
Meanwhile, this one's hot off the radar:

...the McElroy brothers and The Adventure Zone deserve better than this.

This is from Sophie Campbell's (back when she was a dude) design notes of how she'd do a TMNT comic. While the others are fine, these two stuck out.
The optimist in me hopes the dress means ballet and not being a tranny/genderqueer.
