Containment Random Thoughts & Questions

I get the feeling that any autistic who screeches about Chris Chan "not representing the autistic community" often have a lot of skeletons in their own closet. Whether it's because they're a man child who watches children's cartoons (like MrEnter) or because they've got some weird fucked up fetish that they proudly display on their DeviantArt pages or they play Magic the Gathering...

I wonder if it's because they see themselves in Chris, and that he reminds them of their own worst traits.

Take A-Log for example, he made a bunch of fanfictions where his fox fursona bangs a bunch of cartoon chicks whilst making himself out to be a fucking cassava. And let's not forget his impersonation video...

Would Chris date the extremely masculine trans-man Buck Angel?

One of the things I find most amusing about Chris is that he holds a funhouse mirror up to just about every community he becomes a part of. He's the autistic who won't even try for a job. He's the transwoman who barely even tries. He's the SJW who knows nothing about any cause he advocates. He's the brony who creeps on teenage girls and has sexual fantasies about the ponies. He's the gamer who doesn't bathe and lives on junk food in his mom's house. He's not necessarily the worst these communities have to offer, but nevertheless I think for a lot of people, he's an uncomfortable reminder that stereotypes exist for a reason.

Heh, I guess you mean Casanova? A cassava is a type of tuber, like a sweet potato.
Yeah, really you can only act like a cassava if you're cosplaying as Phil.

Nah. Buck looks more masculine than most dudes. Even Chris wouldn't go for that.

OK, I have 2 random questions here:

1) Johan, Sam and Ellen are clearly trolls, correct? There's no way the story that lead to the helicopter sex doll video would make sense otherwise.

2) When talking about the attraction sign, Chris always mentions that it was an inexpensive idea as part of his rationale for it, anyone knows what were the expensive ones? I assume hookers or a mail-order bride or something.

With the exception of the classic Chris traits, IMO this is mostly driven by his need to belong and get free of his loneliness.

Of course, whenever he deigns to try & join a new community, he half-asses it like everything else he does. I bet he would tell you about the 'whole encyclopedias' he read & how much he learned from them, when in reality he read like 2 Jezebel articles.

As I understand it's assumed that how Chris's parents raised him is largely responsible for the way he acts, more so than his autism. The way he has no self-accountability, no sense of responsibility, no shame, etc. But I was wondering, has anyone actually seen or heard an IRL example of how Barb (or Bob back then) handles Chris when he does something ridiculous or exceptional in public? Like for example, it was recently discussed how he apparently has no qualms about letting it rip in public - at Bronycon, during court, etc. If Barb noticed, would she say anything to him?

Bob would've been more likely to reprimand him, but that's not guaranteed. He held Chris responsible for some of his fuckups privately, but he also fought the county on his behalf. So Bob's got an inconsistent track record.

Barb would be more likely to defend him. I think Barb's strategy is to maintain unanimity with Chris on their decisions, so when she does defend him, she's merely defending herself.

Barb leads the way with bad behavior (and if she isn't leading, she's not too far behind) and so she's got no internal, moral tug of war in her head between "but he's in the wrong" and "I've got to defend mah boy!"

So like the q-sand incident or running over Michael Snyder. She was almost there for the pepper spray thing, and indeed, they were violating Chris' ban from the mall together. Unfortunately for Barb, Chris went off on his own and caused trouble. But even then, I'm sure she's making excuses for him.

Yep. Someone found a video of someone banging an anime sex doll like Chris' one and built a trolling plan around it.

He did talk about seeing a hooker before he did. For instance, the Wallflower was no doubt flattered to hear that his major reason for being upset about her "dumping" him was that he'd have to pay for a hooker. However, I think in this context, he was talking about things like dating websites or going out to bars.

It's odd, he and Phil are simultaneously very similar and very different in these regards. Both of them are very lost individuals who think adopting an identity will make everything better, but neither of them get what they want or succeed in adopting the identity properly. In Phil's case, he'll try really hard, but he lacks the mental capacity to fully understand what he absorbs. In Chris' case, because he'll do basically no research and put no effort in.

Yeah Barb is the source of the insanity in many ways. Her life was tumultuous before she conceived Chris, and her actions are highly questionable.

Bob did berate Chris for some things: Him crying @ graduation & the house tour videos. I am unclear if we ever knew the specific behind the Green County court case though. But it can't be sanity-affirming for him given what we've seen from Chris later.

I mentioned this a few days ago, but it may have been eaten up by the server maintenance: If you check the Mimms/Lucas Q&A, they do mention how his parents seemed very bitter about his condition.

EDIT: Replying to @Tragi-Chan

It's interesting that Chris frequently talks about learning from the past, when all it took for him to make a sequel to arguably his greatest hit (:julay:) was for someone to just change the context a bit . I'd attribute this incident to his autism & lack of common sense.

I thought he turned to hookers later when he was desperate (Even tried to ask the trolls for some contact details lol). But yeah that was probably the expensive idea.

As to the Wallflower, he said that to her when he was begging her to come back :story:. Personally, I think he would've had a chance with her if he didn't fuck up so early and managed to introduce her to his past gradually.

I don't know much about ADF, but you're definitely right about Chris' failings in that regard.

This is why he's a universal lolcow. He has at least some connection to pretty much every super spergy Internet subculture but somehow takes it in an even worse direction.
