Gail is sadly really crazy.

Not lolcow crazy, not teen edgey crazy nor even fat lazy stupid internet cow crazy.

She's on anti-psychotics and is a diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic.

She's sick and although Zack and crew have handled her well and even helped her on occasion I can't agree to encourage the baiting someone who is actaully mentally ill.


That aside I do enjoy her antics. The crazy Jesuit routine always slays me.

I never watch Star Trek but I know they deal with some loony fans pretty well. For Gail to stand out in Brent Spiner's experience is very troubling and at least he handles it very professionally when it brought up to him.

That answers my question of whether or not Mr. Spiner knows of Gail. It's nice to see him take the situation with empathy and dignity.

Brent Spiner has known about Gail long before she was Youtube-infamous. I think he sent her one polite personal letter once before he figured out she was bonkers but since then he has avoided all attempts by her to make contact with him, so even him just sending a two word tweet to her is more contact than he's made in a quarter century or so.
