Is it any surprise? This is like evolution. When you kill anything that doesn't have certain traits you are by definition going to end up with only things that have those traits.

Note that this thread was started in May 2013 and about 48% of the posts are from this year so far. I wonder if there will be enough shenanigans to pass 50% (we will if we get 2000 more posts in the next two months.)

Not to mention he would only upload them once he has watched them...which as you all know he just doesn't have the time so there would be a massive delay in these approved montages being uploaded sometimes weeks after he had recieved the file.

My favorite part of all this, is witnessing Phil's toxic influence completely overtake certain people to where they literally start becoming him. They eat, sleep and breath DarksydePhil. They always ask what we're gonna do with our lives when Phil eventually crashes and burns for good. I'd counter ask the same thing...

Although I have to counter this by saying Phil's money doesn't do shit for the economy. He doesn't buy anything. All his gear is shit/old. He bought a brand new car which supports traditional companies that are long overdue for complete failure.

99% of Phil's money goes straight to paying interest on debt. He's making bankers rich, not small businesses.

Well tough fucking shit. He made it big on yt, something that a percentage of a percentage could ever manage. He ran himself into debt because he's a greedy fuck, and now has to deal with the consequences, while sitting on his ass for a living. "Get a job" is a stupid statement? How about he starts competing in the market then instead of thinking he's above normal jobs, and keeping desperately trying to rip off his paypigs until they all leave him and he has no choice but to work pumping gas somewhere

It's the same rationale as why visitors of parks are told not to feed the animals. They'll become lazy and stop fending for themselves, depending on the kindness of others to provide. And when that stops, they're ill prepared to gather resources on their own.
Phil would be forced to get a job if the funding for his slovenly lifestyle dried up.

As much as I hate to admit it, he's probably right not to get a job and replace Twitch/YouTube right now. He could definitely supplement it, so that's his own failure. There's just nothing he can do that's going to make him $5000+ per month short of maybe some trade, and that's not going to happen because "mah back."

The mere fact that BSV rationalizes supporting a middle-aged Twitch streamer with a below average reputation as a boon to the US economy kinda tells you he's exceptional, no?

I mean, where is the big picture in giving Phil hundreds of US dollars every month? Which the Norwegian economy loses mind you. And which BSV probably needs to improve his own life standards. Have you seen his shithole of an apartment?

To be fair, the above is true for almost every streamer & every Patreon user, not just Phil, but only Phil's fans prefer to contort the science of economics to fit their agenda when a simple "Not your business" may suffice.

One other option is to use affiliate links by Amazon, Newegg etc. This is an option Phil seemingly ignores completely and isn't really that hard to set up as long as sticks to the ToS this time.
