Who knew PK would end up being the one getting cucked. :story:

While lurking this thread, I ended up remembering that the Lily/Neon porn comic that started it all was actually a bunch of Patreon requests meant to be "a single tiny story" (NSFW link). I seem to recall her saying she was going to explain how Neon was trans while she was working on VR, but I think that was on Twitter and I don't really feel like going through and finding it right now.

Either way, I'm sure she goes on about how it's ~character development~ and "I don't plan things because it keeps me excited and interested!" but anyone going through Floraverse will probably immediately be able to pinpoint the exact moments PK loses interest in one set of characters and immediately jumps into a new story.
Maybe if she were a better writer she wouldn't get bored with her characters.

Dialogue-free version. I also tried to fix Neon's posture so she looked like slightly less of a turbocharged autist and her reaction wasn't completely overshadowing Lily's by virtue of being about a million miles over the top. This really is not about how bad we should be feeling for poor, stammering, cringing Kid Neon right now, PK, or at least it shouldn't be - and why is she cringing, anyway? She's coming off like a battered spouse. The world won't stop spinning on its axis and hurl us all into the depths of space if her reaction isn't presented as if it were the most important thing happening in every single panel she's in.
It's really good without dialogue. I think I'm actually having a feeling.... :(

agree, I like the panels with Lilly's reaction to Jupet's room, too, though there could have been more emphasis on her hands as it's actually a good expression she did there. I think it would've been more visible if there was more contrast, if the outlines weren't almost the same color and shade as the bg and the hands

kinda off topic: I really don't like how in floraverse pretty much everything can hybridize bc the species themselves usually are pretty OP on their own but in hybrids their abilitys stack from what we've seen so far. so everytime PK wants some cool power for a plot point (like cosmo) she pulls a new species or some new hybrid out of her ass who has the exact obscure super power that is needed at the moment. it's really deus ex machina // reminds me a lot of the over powered mary sues a 12 year old would write into a story
Idk maybe it would piss me off less if the species and powers had been established from the beginning and not retconned into existence everytime PK needs an explanation for her inconsistent, chaotic writing

Does PK think trans people/people with autism are constantly miserable and exhausted, or is that just how she makes Eevee feel?

It
As someone who doesn't know much of Floraverse than what is posted here, just how many different timelines are there and what makes us care about them? How are they supposed to be told apart?
I find it incredibly confusing to follow.

I honestly believe even Pk herself doesn't know.

Something compelled me to check her Patreon ... and well ... just wow. This is her overall run for ForbiddenFlora.

How the mighty have fallen.

I actually don't get what Neon sees in Lily. I guess the narrative implies she's sooper smart and kind and daring but it's never clearly shown unless you count her acting like a sugar high child who wants to play constantly, lol.

I imagine the idea is to have a ying-yang set up between them. In that, in spite of their massive differences, the contrast means Lilly brings Neon out of her shell and Neon helps Lilly to be less impulsive and think.

I mean the exploration of how someone might deal with dating a person on the spectrum and the challenges that come with it might be legitimately interesting, but these elements will be drowned out in the overall mess that is the Floraverse

If I’m correct, that’s not yoga but bdsm play. Challenging the ‘sub’ to hold still in uncomfortable ways (whilst the ‘dom’ sometimes ups the stakes and tries to have them fail at the specified task using any means necessary).
The title on Forbidden Flora says it's yoga.
But thanks for destroying what little innocence I still have left. (:_(

Not that it matters, but the title alone doesn't tell if PK's aware of the difference between BDSM yoga and real yoga. The comic's still fucking sloppy either way.

That reminds me... http://forbiddenflora.com/gallery/pinups/291-lily-yoga-2/ (nsfw). So here in this description you read that Lily has prosthetic legs, which is never actually brought up in-comic, neither through show nor tell. (Maybe we should start keeping track of all the plot points in Flora that get revealed on the porn site first). I could be wrong, but regardless, what's the point of even giving her this trait? It's just one of the many quirks that makes her insufferably flawless. Would be nice giving light to her shortcomings, like having to do maintenance on her limbs or something.

She's getting the dumb fur-poncho Alice has, too.

On the prostetic legs part: it's actually brought up in Try, Try Again when she asks if Jupet needs TAL to make them a new eye.
TAL made her legs. They still didn't say why.

I went back and re-read all of Flora and I think PK had the plot sort of planned out until the timeline fuckery ( she still "retconned" the first version of Itchy Itchy and Curiosity Killed The Rat, I just realized I read the old versions ) but Neon could be a new addition. She never appears in any flashbacks, even that scene where Cress "falls" through ~foreshadowing~:

Unless she's supposed to be the googled person at the beginning of it.

There's a surprising number of foreshadowed characters there, but nah the goggled ones are just the Conductor and Cayenne.

I see where I skimmed over the leg detail now. I'm just gonna note that Lily's known to visit beholding siren territory, and a different character in Call Sign apparently lost her leg to a siren. Maybe Neon's siren nightmares play back the scene when Lily lost her legs. That could've been an interesting story on its own, but PK doesn't have the attention span to keep things in coherent, chronological order, nor the ability to draw the dynamics of an intense battle. (The inky and edgy comic panels are as close as she gets to dynamic).

i still wanna know who lily fucked to give birth to a god (?) and the last minute add on shizu
All we know is that it's some kind of necropossum. She mentions a male one in this conversation on how long Jupet was dead, but we don't get any names or what his relevance is.
upload_2017-10-9_14-18-34.png

Necropossums are like mini-Jesus but there's no other god-like properties in them. If anything, the abstract fuckery in "here goes nothing" that depicted god tells me it disguised as Jupet, but not the other way around. At least that's what I hope for sanity's sake.

Lilly is the virgin Marry of furrys who gave birth to furry Jesus lol

@Lobunnie can't spot Neon in the foreshadowing either. if I remember correctly she used to be a side character created by either Geckozen or Exty, not sure which one, think it was the same person who created this cyber-Goat species. Neon was first introduced in the turf tiger side story and I think PK only made her more important in later chapters bc she liked the design
