Oh man, this brings be back! It's so nice to se someone abroad appreciate this stuff! I used to adore Kockásfülű Nyúl (Rabbit With The Chequered Ears) as a kid, one of my most cherised childhood toys is a plushie of the main character my uncle got me for my fourth birthday (along with a '90s reissue of G1 Grimlock). There's also this Chekoslovakian cartoon about a little mole I used to love to bits:
Didn't remember the opening song being this catchy.

Also, anyone familiar with this curious French cartoon that taught kids about biology by anthropomorphizing the everloving fuck out of it? You gueesed correct, this was another childhood favorite of mine:

I don't think they ever marketed these guys beyond someone managed to get cable TV channels to play this stuff.

There's also this Chekoslovakian cartoon about a little mole I used to love to bits:

Oddly that first cartoon isn't related to Zdeněk Miler's creation, but was something Russia's Soyuzmultfilm did perhaps inspired by the first of the Czech Mole cartoons, 1957's "How Mole Got His Trousers".

Certainly wasn't mine sadly, I don't think Nickelodeon would've been that daring to air it anyway, not after episode 2!

Oh yeah, I remember all the Little Mole stuff from my childhood! Never knew much about the behind scenes of it though, so thanks for the info! And yeah, the baby phone one was a bit bizarre, if weirdly adorable. The better question is, who's gonna pay the phone bill?

Ooh, that Dorotka cartoon looks neat! Single parrot raising his owner, how admirable! As crazy as the plot was, I have to give extra credit to the creator for giving the parrot a cloaca :lol:

Yeah, many Western countries are pretty squeamish about nudity, even if it's non-sexual or educational in nature. While I can understand the need for it in certain cases, it's a shame as far as Il était un fons goes, since it was a legit great way to prepare children for elementary school level biology (I think they had a cartoon series based on history too if memory serves me right).

Woah, I had no idea the same studio aslo had a sci-fi series. As a kid I've always thought the limfocite characters would be nice in an actually space opera-esque series. Nice find!

Istill wonder where does that phone cord lead to. I suppose a burried line running for miles to a a nearby pole. Perhaps it's the state's fault for leaving their equipment out in the open like that!

There's some pretty messed up moments like her being kidnapped by a witch who fattens her up to eat later (a la Hansel & Gretal) to playing with matches up in an attic and little athropomorphic flames dance around her! Her parrot pal always gets her ass out of danger at the last minute!

As crazy as the plot was, I have to give extra credit to the creator for giving the parrot a cloaca :lol:

I think it's difficult for Americans to really get it sometimes. Even when it is harmelss such as seeing it flaccid tends to get lumped in with obvious implications. I suppose I've gotten myself to a point where a flaccid penis does nothing to me, though I tend to favor it being small and appearing insignificant like in some forms of art where the need to distance the viewer's gaze from the obvious is necessary. Animals strangely I feel hypocritical over as I tend to favor a more non-gender approach to design (I suppose we'd call it "Barbie Doll" in that respect, but honestly it's the sort of thing we've been conditioned to see anyway).

Reminded of a few who felt that way whe the short "Adam & Dog" was nominated for an Oscar some years back. This is probably the most honest depiction of Adam ever shown in a hand-drawn animated effort, yet there's always one or two who can't quite get over the fact nothing ever conceals his body all all times, though I suppose the use of long shots probably help to distance the attention a bit.

They did a bunch actually, dealing with different subjects from discoveries to global exploration to one devoted to the American continents.

Oh shit. It's fucking happening. Excuse my autistic screeching of excitement but this movie was supposed to be released after Football Fuckhead's first movie but it never did happen. The fact that the movie is now getting greenlit and it's around the corner, really is making me excited.

I mean it might be terrible but at this point, shit like HeyArnold is hard to find within Viacom's studio.

Edit: Saw the trailer. This might be bad guys. This might get really bad.

Now that the people who grew up on that show have their own money to burn, they're doing it, well, to make money off a beloved dormant property, but at least they're doing it right, and they're doing something that fans of the show would want to see.

All the original voice actors are even back - except for the kid actors, who have all been recast (but that's alright), and a couple of actors who have died since the show ended.

It's supposed to come out around Thanksgiving, by the by.

Celebrate Columbus Day with a cartoon featuring anthropomorphic ships setting out to prove what we already know (no, not what they want us to think these days)!

EDIT: Although credited to Hanna-Barbera, the production seems to be an independent effort, and many of the names present seem to be a lot of Filmation staffers. Some moonlighting project I guess for this "Jellybean Productions" effort.

I'm just glad I never saw it all the way through at all. Of course I was already a teen when that came out and it wasn't on my radar at the time, but I remember thinking this looked stupid from the box art alone.
