How much you wanna bet that even if his Kickstarter/Indigogo/GoFundMe was successful, he would still be doing the same ol' same ol' -- taking his sweet-ass time developing the game and making false promises while getting large amounts of money. I'm pretty sure his progress on the game will stay the absolute same, with or without a crowdfunding campaign.

I'm legitimately surprised Alex hasn't pointed to Cuphead as an example of "games that took forever to develop." It took them years of work with an actual team/studio dedicated to the project. It's basically the perfect out to explain what's taking him so long. Sure anybody with two brain cells to rub together can point out why it's a false equivalency but I didn't think it'd actually stop him from trying anyways.

I would figure that comparison to Cuphead might lead to regarding the quality of the game in comparison to his own. Cuphead fully embraces the uniqueness of its style, and has assets that look like no one else's, made entirely for the game alone. Yandere Simulator....doesn't.

Alex has already given players the ability to bug certain areas, even though it doesn't actually do anything yet. He's probably trying to make some kind of needless "surveillance" mechanic that will take him another year to implement properly.

Why does Megami even go to school? Oh wait, she doesn't actually go to the school she just watches classes through a notebook because...why? Alex wants ne to believe Megami was socially engineered from birth to be the perfect heir. A person like that can't have any valid reason to go to school. This is the problem with every idea Alex comes up with, at first it sounds fun but then you ask yourself "but why tho?" and realize how stupid it is.

But what if you get rid of rivals using the pacifist methods? If you want to make a multiple routes game, you have to... create multiple routes...
I personally don't ask for realism in a game, but at least some coherence.
