I have to get this off my chest btw. I'm a casual fan to the series. It makes me chuckle now and again.

But Pickle Rick is the dumbest fucking thing to ever come out of the series. The episode was shit. I never understood the hype for the episode and how everyone was pumped for a Pickle Rick.

Even before the episode you had videos on YouTube covering bullshit theories on what the episode would be about and how could he become a pickle.

After the episode dropped you had even more videos about theories on WHY he became Pickle Rick and the significance of him becoming a pickle.

Add in the fans just randomly shouting Pickle Rick for no reason, it really shows how the show and its creator have truly been molded by the autistic fanbase.

Holy shit. I had no idea there was this much controversy over a gross out cartoon about a mad scientist. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but somehow I still am. Even this thread, on a forum that really should know better, it's turning into an autism feedback spiral. People are way too worked up about whether other people do or don't like the show that has an alternate dimension that's nothing but giant farting butts featured in the very first episode.

Personally I'd never seek the show out by myself, but if someone wants to watch it I can enjoy a few episodes. It's occasionally really funny, and I can respect that they successfully turned "trying too hard" into a running meta joke.

But damn. If you're getting mad that people hate it or like it you should recalibrate what you think is important.

I recently started watching it bc my friends kept insisting that it's brilliant. I was sceptical at first because I knew it was attracting.... weird people, both exceptional fans and haters. But meh, it's entertaining enough, still have to catch up on the newest episodes though

though I wasn't aware at how bad the fans really are until I met a fanboy at a party who called me an idiot because I thought the show was just ok instead of "the best and smartest show ever created" (his words no kidding). so this entire meltdown over the sauce was pretty satisfying hope it also sent my acquaintance into an autistic rage for being an ass over a cartoon

edit2: just skimmed through the thread and read those tweets by Justin Roiland and even though he's right with his trolling those easily offended idiots I can really see how he attracts those nutjob fans.
