I cracked up on reading the first sentence. This is "My Immortal"-level of godly.

My Immortal gives us a concise but detailed description of our main character, lets us know she's a vampire, explains that she is enrolled in her seventh year at Hogwarts, and tells us about her personality by showing her flipping off preps. There may not be a lot going on in the first chapter but at least it tells us everything we need to know about the setting and main character. CB88 could learn from Tara Gilesbie.
