Nah. he'll take from it what he wants. She knows what she's doing. She's brilliant at this.

This woman Marilyn tries to reassure him that he didn't contribute to a suicide, and it may be having the opposite effect: he held no power over that poor girl (one more person who couldn't care less about him), and one less thing he can indirectly blame TS for causing. On the other hand, it could be his reason for not releasing his non-existent book, as it was the "main bombshell" he planned to drop. Either way it's pretty sick shit.
First they tried to reason with him, then the gloves came off.

I've read all 372 pages. Finally signed up. If I do something wrong let me know.
My amateur opinion is he hates himself. It's why he will ONLY talk to 9s and 10s. It elevates his status in his mind. Taylor Swift acknowledging him would make him feel like he mattered.
This book. I NEED to read it!! IF he publishes. I worry all of our talk of how he can be sued will make him give up. He's already alluding to it. Also. Kayli. I don't know if she's a kiwi or just a nice Mormon girl who knew him when and sympathizes with him, but the constant praise is really making him doubt the one person who talks to him. If you know what I mean.
Any takes on his excuse after the weekend when there's no book?

I love Russ's ridiculous application of the 'but for' rule. It's a laughably simple thing to understand and only applies to DIRECT actions. You can't start talking about some chain reaction of events.

Hell, using his logic its incredibly easy to blame the victim - '... If Taylor wouldn't have slandered me, then I would have never had a meltdown...'

Your honour, 'but for' that woman rejecting my advances, I wouldn't have had a meltdown and raped her! Not my fault you see.

Using it the way he does, you could blame anybody for anything. If anything, we should blame Greer's mother for all this. But for his birth, NONE of this would have happened!

Bailee's family and friends were obviously against her being mentioned at all in the book. Could this be who is attempting to have read it? I know he said he was only dedicating the book to her, but who knows if he decided to make her part of his incredible true story....

If the book exists. Which it doesn't. So nevermind.

He said the person reading wants to know how they are portrayed, sounds like a person checking on their own "character". Which sounds made up because he said he's letting this one person read it in order to avoid another bunch of people from suing. You know if any of this was even fucking remotely true and there were a 175 page book. Which there isn't.

His blaming Swift for his actions is classic abuser behavior. "If you hadn't pissed me off by disobeying, I wouldn't have hit you!" or in Russ's case, "If the trolls hadn't pissed me off, I wouldn't have been a dick to everyone!"

I for one have no doubt Russ will release the book, and it will be a New York Times bestseller! Shit, he'll need an entertainment lawyer and an agent to field all the offers for movie adaptions and sequels. Taylor will rue the day she turned down such a fine specimen of manhood! And I bet Ariana will probably call up Russ and beg for forgiveness too, but I doubt she'll get it, Russ's favor is a fickle thing. Look out world, the new man in charge is on his way!
The preceding was a paid editorial announcement. Russ Venmoed me a dollar. Who can say no to that?

Basically don't state your preference of whether or not you'd fuck Russ, type like a normal person, and don't white knight. You'll be fine :)

Yes, that's his narcissism which people have been suspecting of him all along.

(this isn't directed towards you, @Bamboon McDrool ) Just because Russhole talks tough and acts like he thinks he's hot shit, doesn't mean he actually believes it. The defining trait of narcissism is extremely low self-esteem that gets propped up by "supply", or people who will kiss the narcissist's ass, then promptly be dumped once they call the narcissist's superiority into question. Successful narcissists are able to enlist local people to be their supply. Russ is an unsuccessful narcissist, though. If there is no one to supply like in Russhole's case, they'll be attempts to gain sympathy/supply, and if that still fails, they just lash out by any means they deem necessary. Russ requires outside validation; everything Russ does is textbook unsuccessful narcissist.

He keeps delaying the book in hopes of a provocation to get the supply he seeks (Taylor knows who I am!) or to get compliments from people about how great the book will be. He'll release the book if he gets the response he wants, but he'll never get that response. Once this book is finally put to rest, expect a retreat (probably another long rage quit) or an epic chimpout. His years of trying to provoke Taylor are coming to an unsuccessful end and and Russhole knows that. Boy, does he fucking know that, whether he's willing to admit it or not.

This is exactly correct. "I wouldn't do bad things if only you do exactly what I want." Holding decency hostage and putting the victim into a persistent siege state is how abusers always work. Goes hand in hand with the narcissist self-absorption that blinds him to the fact that he doesn't deserve everything just because he wants it.

Can we all take a moment to appreciate the usernames within the farms spawned from Russell's "likeness"? They keep getting better and better the more this thread grows!
The number of Greer-derived usernames has got to be approaching those derived from cwc himself by this point.

Russell had always wanted to be famous, and now he's got it. Not the scenario he wanted though - instead of wealth or the love of millions he's now almost broke and has been barred from hundreds of brothels across the US.

I guess Russ' 'story' is a classic case of "be careful for what you wish for".

At this point, Russ is probably banned from the local rub'n'tug joints too. You have to be essentially the heir to the throne of the kingdom of assholes to get a woman who by definition fucks for money to turn you down.
