The thing about any community they try to join (to co-opt) or create (to begin again) is that without leadership keeping them on-task, they're completely unable to break out of circular firing squad mode. I found a Battletech Kickstarter with a comment from someone with that name. It links to Neogaf. Lime created the Neogaf thread for that Battletech Kickstarter.

Yeah, I saw that. Apparently it’s a character in some Fallout Pony crossover thing that’s big in the community. The YouTube channel I saw was mainly Overwatch videos, so that might be his. Hard to say though, as the video have no commentary at all and have like 5 views each.

I'm interested to know if whether any future endeavor these mods, or regular posters, tries to start is going to go out of its way to associate (or disassociate) itself with NeoGAF. Clearly, the evidence is that they have no comprehension of where they went wrong and, until they do, they will surely commit the same mistakes ad infintium.

That said, usually, at a minimum, if something is a big enough PR disaster, a competent successor enterprise will try not to associate itself with the old brand name (Seriously, Google "Valujet" sometime).

But that's behavior from competent business executives and investors. As has been established here and elsewhere... these are morons. They might be stupid enough to think being associated with this cluster fuck is something other than an albatross around their neck.

You'd even be doing these disillusioned fools who want a successor site a favor. I am absolutely flabbergasted they want all or most of them back.

Though they'll probably never admit it or appreciate it, such tough love would benefit them in the long run and even possibly make them functioning members of society some day.

If I recall, someone already doxxed Beefsoda a couple months ago when the Amirox stuff broke. They had his real name and address. Wouldn't be hard to go from there. I will see if I can find it.
