Spergs fed up with this shi and the ongoing infestation of Social Justice Warriors in gaming proceeded to weaponize their Autism via tareted boycotts, drove away like 99% of Gawker's advertisers (so Hulk Hogan wound up killing it), exposed considerable corruption in the industry, and butt-fucked several of the websites responsible for this nonsense in the first place. In response to a bunch of Autists absolutely ruining their shit, they proceeded to REEEEE harder than ever before and, over time, gradually self-destructed in turn. The campaign ended in October 2015 after Zoe Quinn and Anita Sarkeesian went before the UN and buttfumbled about how the entire internet needed to be censored for hurting their feelings. Its opponents have continued to never shut the fuck up about it; while by no means the first community to repulse a Social Justice infestation, nor the most successful, it was the most public and so GG's opposition lost by far the hardest.
In relation to the Farms, GG was the biggest renewable Autism resource in this forum's history. There's also a meme of us being secretly behind GG from the very beginning and being the official HQ for all things GG because this pisses off Vordrak and was fucking hilarious.
While GG itself was (and is) spergy as hell, its opposition threw everything at destroying it, to the point of incandescent self-combustion, resulting in the simultaneous generation of dozens if not hundreds of lolcows. While GG itself also contributed a number of highly mockable cows to the site as well, it needs be noted that almost all of them were resoundingly condemned by GG as a whole (such as Ethan Ralph, Vordy, et al). To date, most sites and communities that claim it was nothing more than internet terrorism have literally zero evidence beyond the say-so of people with no credibility, and indeed, continue to claim it despite eveything from feminist groups to the fucking government saying otherwise.
