Unpopular opinions about food

While a lot of Thai food is meant to be spicy, ordering dishes "Thai spicy" at a restaurant usually translates to "drown this shit in chili flakes until every other flavor is gone so I can show off for my friends." What's the point of ordering something something as complexly flavored as panag curry or pad kee mao if you're just going to mask it with heat?

What does "blue" mean, I've never heard it in reference to steaks before.

"Steak so rare, a good vet could bring it back to life!"

I like to mix Baja Blast with Code Red. In fact I got a fridge pack of each just so I could do that.

One of my favorite quick sandwiches is peanut butter with pickles, which was actually introduced to me by an ex of mine. And it had to be Claussen kosher dill pickles, too, no other brand can compare imo. :pickle:

I'm majorly OCD about my fries getting the "Tomato sauce" that baked beans come in on them. Put them on oppisite sides of the plate. It's not rocket science.
omg is this you?:

I can't imagine this situation coming up very often in life. Then again I still have nightmares about syrup touching scrambled eggs, so same deal.

I'm not very picky about foods; most of the things I don't eat are because I just can't handle fried/greasy food. But I think I eat more kimchi than Korea, that's weird I guess. Sauerkraut does it for me too, just fucking love fermenting cabbages. :)

I can kind of relate to the people saying they don't like eggs, because I'm super picky about how my eggs are cooked! I hate overcooked scrambled eggs, they just make me gag.
Also I haaaate garlic. The smell is so awful!

Cilantro is so nasty. It's bitter. So is ginger.

Bottled water is overrated, and it's a strain to the environment because of all the waste plastic it generates. It has utility in a for disaster relief or for traveling abroad somewhere with sketchy water. But otherwise just give me filtered tap water kthanxbai.

The water here tastes bland? It's hard to describe, its just not good even through a brita. I only use brita water to make tea/iced coffee/gatorade with.

There is a huge list of things I won't eat. What I will eat is much shorter: Artichoke, almost any raw vegetable (I love cooked cauliflower and mushrooms though), fish/shellfish (except clams and mussels), lots of salads (Butter lettuce is the best to use), wheat crackers, almonds, cashews, hazelnuts, and walnuts, and fresh fruit. Pasta everyone now and then.

Don't forget that without Bob we wouldn't have those environment-destroying water bottles.

I eat the green part of the watermelon that is not the skin.
I like fruit that is slightly unripe because I can bite into it and I like the tartness.
Citrus fruits are nasty because their skin is so hard to get off, and then theres the icky white bits that taste bitter and ruin the citrus fruit.
