Culture Disabled student upsets the trans community - by changing his preferred name to ‘Lightning-Kachow-McQ’

The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in their attempt to be more progressive, recently rolled out some new policies that allow students to request their preferred names (as opposed to their real names) to be printed on their student identification cards.

The policies were supposedly passed to allow “non binary” individuals to effortlessly change their preferred names to any names they would rather be known by. Teachers and professors are expected to refer to students by their new names rather than the names they were born with.

Tyler Roope, a disabled wheelchair-bound UCLA student, decided to see just how far the school would go to uphold their new policies. He requested that his name be changed to “Lightning-Kachow-McQ” – a reference to a character from the movie “Cars”, named “Lightening Mcqueen” whose favorite catchphrase is “Kachow”.

Tyler was basically making a self deprecating joke about his disability. “I did this because honestly lightning McQueen is red with 4 tires and so am I. It makes me feel good:)-” he explained later.

“The boundaries had to be tested and I can’t believe this actually worked” Tyler posted on Twitter. “My professors now legally have to call me this. Kachow boys”

Here’s what Tyler’s original identification card looked like:

However, this didn't go well as the trans community feel very upset by this.

Trans avenues are ableist then, they're not wheelchair accessible.

Somebody should tweet Mx. MeBoo here and tell xir that the inclusive spelling is "folx" and xe needs to stop being transphobic.

I'm so sick of this damned social epidemic. I'd bet my life that Tyler Roope has to deal with far more on a day to day basis than any on these troons. He didn't choose to be disabled. He was born that way. He's had to adapt to a world that is made with able bodied people in mind. And here he is at a university, where if he had been born even 50 years earlier he'd be locked up in some hellhole facility until he died of neglect. And I bet he's not wasting his parents money by majoring in gender studies.

When I went to college (before the SJW storm hit) they'd ask us what names we preferred every semester. But I think that was more in line with "Hi I'm Robert but I prefer to be called Bob".

I think this guy is awesome. He's not hurting anybody yet the troons are crying like he's LITERALLY killing them with his ID card. If it was an actual issue then the school would not have allowed him to use that name. The fact that they did speaks volumes about the school's policy rather than Tyler Roope himself. They are so scared of triggering someone and causing a protest that they'll let a student insist that he must be called after a Cars character.

Just think about this for a minute.

This is what we've come to.

But these UCLA troons have picked the wrong hill to die on by picking on and calling out a disabled student. Tyler will be disabled for the rest of his life. And his life may be significantly shorter than the average person's because of that. Many transtrenders are likely to go back to being normal once this social plague runs it's course. The ones left will be the craziest of the crazy. The ones who think being a woman is somehow easy modo. They've already greatly damaged any progress made by transgendered people who are just trying to quietly live their lives. It's no longer about changing your gender and living as that gender. Now it's about using the label transgendered to call attention to yourself and screech about deadnames and pronouns while constantly outing yourself as trans to millions of people online while simultaneously saying the world isn't safe for you and everyone is trying to kill you.

I love how their lack of ability to control their banshee screeching has brought more attention and ridicule to the name changing than what Lightning did for shits and giggles. Whining about how this one thing invalidates your self identity just makes you look like a lunatic and then when people just glance at your social media and discover that you're a gay trans communist furry, they simply confirm their analysis and lose a; sympathy for your "movement".
