Apparently that captain guy, the person Phil insulted during his COD stream, is back to kissing his ass again, and now they're on good terms.
It was obvious that would happen looking at @SirJamesDTech conversation with him. The guy was already putting the blame on the AirRaidLord, and if they actually talked like Phil said you have to wonder if Dsp threw ARL under the bus as well. Maybe if there was not another person to blame things may have been different, but I wouldn't bet on it.

But Kekon still isnt willing to stand up to Phil and say "hey, I think you're wrong in this" for fear of being banished from the kingdom and residual twitch views from Phil hosting him. I wonder how many twitch views someone's conscience is worth.

It's a bullying atmosphere. Phil tries to get the whole chat to turn on a person until they until they're back in shape out of fear. Which is funny because whenever he gets shit on by a large amount of people, like us, he spergs out. He had to turn off his Youtube comments because he couldn't handle all the people shitting on him.

Speaking of which the video of him shitting on captainwhoeverface is at 7,499 views a little over 24 hours after being uploaded.

Here is a list of the videos DSPGaming has which have passed 7K views:

EDIT: I went and checked. Even after 6+ years, his videos from 2011 are lucky to have 20K views. "Most beloved" gamer on YouTube.

Phil could almost... ALMOST qualify as a third-rate insult comedian if he dropped the whole gaming BS and cleaned his fat ass hands up of it??? I'm noticing only that, honestly.

It's clear people are avoiding him or only there to watch him fail (TIHYDP material - harvesting being a key example of that.).

He was never loved and he isn't hated now (not since the SOK is gone anyway). But I guess styling oneself as the bad boy is way cooler than being the target of mockery or, at best, indifference.

OH GOD!

The madman has finally done it!

Although there were some interesting points, I think on the whole that this person (I'm not familiar with them) may be watching a different DSP than we've been:
  • "Just because they paid for a game, they are entitled to finish it"
    • Insert reference to Phil thinking because he bought a game he is entitled to monetize it
  • "He at least keeps going until he finishes"
    • Insert reference to all the games Phil never finishes or rage quits
  • "He's capable of learning from past mistakes and getting better, not as quickly as the rest of us would like, but it happens eventually. You gotta give him credit for that"
    • Debatable that he 'eventually' learns from his past mistakes. See: Phil's entire current life situation
  • "It's something that games journalists are incapable of, instead they would rather complain that the game is too hard and they're entitled to have some easy mode because they just want to see the end"
    • Didn't DSP just ragequit Shadow of War or whatever LOTR shit because the end game was "too hard" without lootboxes?
  • "DSP he may whine and rage about it, but he keeps going"
    • Insert reference to all the games Phil never finishes or rage quits
  • "DSP is at least an actual gamer, he at least actually enjoys gaming, its not just an annoying chore for him to do so he could write an article and make money"
    • Phil can't even name games he has enjoyed playing when asked while he is streaming. You can literally take this statement and change two words and its super applicable and an accurate description of DSP:
    • "its not just an annoying chore for him to do so he could make a video and make money"
  • "This dude streams like 25 hours a day... Pretty much every waking moment of his life, he's playing video games. It's not just a chore for him like it is for the alleged journalists"
    • Phil has constant legitimate criticisms directed towards him for how little he streams. He'd rather talk about his boring mundane life than actually stream games.
  • "I bet these journalists would be the first ones to laugh at him for quote unquote 'having no life' or something like that. You know the same thing the normies have been laughing at us 'real gamers' for as long as we've existed"
    • Phil had an entire autistic illuminati after him. Phil has a 1700+ page on Kiwifarms. Phil has an entire subforum on Kiwifarms. If anything, Normies are the ones defending Phil for being a 'real gamer' and the 'real gamers' are the ones saying Phil has no life, because he doesn't.

You have a right to monetize footage of you utilizing a product.

As far as I know its never been fully legally tested. It's one of the few points I'd defend Phil on because I think its fucking dumb as shit, but his attitude about it is entertaining to say the least when it comes to what he is and isn't "entitled" to.

This is actually something Phil got some street-cred for in the early days. I believe he sorta kicked up a whole stink about it and tried to "rally da troops". I never looked into it deeply, but my understanding is that he then got a contract from Machinima and basically walked away from the whole legal issue. I'm not sure on the exact details, but I'm sure someone here can spread some wisdom about his timeline back then, but from what I recall he basically got his own personal YouTube channel sorted (via Machinima contract which would make most copyright issues go away) and then stopped giving a shit because his tum tum was full of YouTube gold.

This is also something that managed to get Phil into an actual physical, printed book. One version of the book doesn't include pictures, but the other does. I've included links to both.

If you really want a physical copy of Phil being mentioned on some page in an actual book, you can head to this Amazon link to purchase. It's out of print so you can only buy second hand I think (no haggle)

Here's a picture of the front of the book in case anyone wants to look for it:

Does that include after you've been given roughly $1000 on Patreon to actually play the game, and hundreds of dollars on Twitch from bits, cheers, and subs? Having the right to do something doesn't make it any less greedy. It just means it's not illegal.

Seemed more like a person who wanted to trash game journalists so they picked out a person involved with video games with a terrible reputation to further the point. He seems like someone that knows of Dsp, but doesn't know current details about Dsp except that he beat Cuphead. It really isn't a big deal for this guy, hell the video already has views Phil only dreams about, but to someone in the deep end of the Dsp pool these inconsistencies are very noticeable.

He managed to beat Cuphead but he couldn't finish Persona 3 on easy mode.
Even better, right after beating Cuphead DSP went onto his Patrons' Choice playthrough of Spyro... and needed most of the game explained to him in the chat. Consider all these silly failures in a platformer aimed at children, and arguably much easier than Mario 64:
  • It took minutes for him to figure out the silver dragon pickups are extra lives.
  • He thinks the dragons saved count per level is actually 'how many lives you picked up'.
  • It takes him minutes after realizing that the right stick does nothing to even try the 4 shoulder buttons to control the camera and discover the roll move.
  • It takes hours for him to realise he can hit the egg thieves with flames rather than just run into them.
He regularly needed chat to CHEER him money with the advice. It shows that DSP struggles to learn, since you could compare Cuphead to 'Nintendo Hard' 8 & 16bit games that DSP had experience with in his childhood. Remember he has beaten Mega Man 1-6, X1, X2, X4 & X5 as part of 2 marathons on real hardware, only notable 'abuse' was the Elec Man glitch on Mega Man 1's Yellow Devil fight. But simple 3D platformers when he 'skipped' those console generations... he's lost.

DSP enjoys videogames? He does not.
-When they asked, what game he enjoyed in recent memory, he had no answer.
-Rushes through games, calls them "projects".
-Even tho there are more games now, he refuse to spend more time gaming. Calls it "work".
-Doesnt play these games when not streaming.

Any of you remember when someone cheered and said to dsp he should challenge himself and play something without help... or something like this. And then dsp probably called him an idiot, and that he did that years ago when he wasnt streaming... and challenge complete! followed by probably an akackack. 10 secs later, he turned to chat for help.

When was this? Maybe a concrete video? Maybe @EddyB43 remembers?
