Actually, she has gone even more extreme than those pics, see here: https://thegrapevine.theroot.com/lil-kim-s-face-isn-t-anything-to-laugh-at-1790888330

But I feel kinda bad for her because she was always told that she was too dark, too 'black looking'. In her own words:

In an interview with Newsweek in 2000, the rapper spoke about her self-esteem issues and how she was treated by men.

“All my life men have told me I wasn’t pretty enough—even the men I was dating. And I’d be like, ‘Well, why are you with me, then?’” It’s always been men putting me down just like my dad. To this day when someone says I’m cute, I can’t see it. I don’t see it no matter what anybody says.”

Wow, she’s gone from black, to Asian, to white. Dove could have saved money just using her in their commercial.

I have no clue how you lighten skin like that. Is it a bleach cream? Does it bleach off freckles and moles and age spots too? Can it burn you? If you can go from chocolate to cream, it must be pretty powerful. I thought melanin was deeper in the skin than a cream can penetrate.

Is this what happens when your body can't support your ludicrotits anymore? Was it really worth all that money and it looks bloody painful, like her skin is on the verge of badly ripping.

Does that Nanette doll have her own thread? She sounds perfect Horrorcow material

At least we now know where Mark Gatis got his character inspiration from

There are bleach creams that people can use to get their skin lighter but they have to use it all the time and slather it on. Also to intensify the effect, you can mix multiple bleaching creams together, slather it on and then wrap yourself in plastic wrap and sit for hours in this concotion.

However, there are supposedly medical processes where you whiten the entire body permanenrly which some celebrities have used but that costs big bucks.

All of this leads to the same problems, ghostly looking skin sometimes (Sosa), higher chance of cancer, thinning of the skin which will make you look older and lead to easier tears of the skin, and possibility of pigment migrating to your extremities so you have dark fimgers/toes/ears.

It's sad because the saying 'black don't crack' is true; african skin and asian skin has a different structure which with the melanin allows you to look younger for longer. http://www.bbc.com/future/story/20120529-does-darker-skin-not-wrinkle

A friendly reminder: actually lose weight before having a panniculectomy.

Jesus wept. I've seen lots of before/after stuff researching for reconstruction for my wife after losing 200 lbs and her now needing to get rid of the loose skin that's left over. But that's just assinine. I know there's medical reasons and shit, but, damn. Lose a few more pounds first, please! I mean, the projection is the SAME in front, just not as high anymore.

And the legs! THE LEGS! Does this person actually have a thigh gap?

Some people just have shit genetics, where they put weight on primarily in bad areas, like the neck, the forearms, lower legs (also known as cankles), or the fat pad below the navel. Both guys and girls can get giant fupas if their genetics allow for it. In mens cases they have to do surgery as the penis disappears into the skin growing around it. becoming infected and painful.

Or you can be one of those lucky people that put on weight evenly, or even rarer, the ones that just put weight on the boobs, butt, and thighs. People want that look so badly they are willing to do surgery or fat moved from one area to the other to get that look.

Lil' Kim.

Yeah it's pretty sad

Sorry to be a little off topic, but are black people who get their skin lightened "transracial" loonies like Rachel Dolezal and Martina Big? Do they try to identify as actual white people at all or is it just aesthetic?

I can't speak for everyone, but for some people it is a cultural thing. The lighter you are the more "high class" you are. So, in some African countries this is a huge thing. I suspect the reasoning for some people is similar here in America, more of an aesthetic and if you think back to say, the time of slavery -- House Slaves were always lighter. Ie. You are not beautiful unless you are light skinned.
