Weight loss support thread

When you have to eat super healthy out of poverty/necessity (rice, beans, no sugar no salt cheap peanut butter, etc) and then consume any processed food it tastes like weaponized sodium.

Just cracking open a hot tv dinner hits you with quease-inducing airborne salty vapors.
I ate spam today and it tasted like a salt lick.

Eat like that for two weeks and the thought of fast food will disgust you to the core, even worse than imagining Lena Dunham’s sweaty Criscoform® convulsing beneath you in a prolonged, greasy, gushing orgasm, which as many know, is where this year’s Rick and Morty tendie sauce was harvested.

I must lose a lot of weight before my operation in 6 month and I'm scared that I fail this.

I'm currently trying to quit soda. My boyfriend is a big help, he only drink water. So far , i had 6 soda a day but yesterday I had only 1.

But i fail when I see anything sweet and sugar. A real nightmare. I can't stop cooking cakes, pastries and pies. A lots of pies.

I wish I didn't jave a sugary tooth.

If the soda was coca-cola I would say try the Monster Ultra type of drinks. Tons of caffeine, no sugar. Doesn't leave a terrible aftertaste like coke zero.

I used to havea lot of coke. Nowadays I only drink if I eat kebab or BK. Which is once a week, tops.

Anyone have any advice on getting rid of soda/energy drink cravings? My doctor put me on a "if you don't start eating right you'll get the diabeetus" diet about a month ago, and for the most part after the first couple days it actually felt good to be eating real food. Even lost 15 lbs already (although I know the weight loss will slow down because a lot of that was getting the salt out of my system).

Problem is, I still pretty much have a constant desire to drink NOS. The only thing I've found that helps even a little is chugging water to make sure I'm not legitimately thirsty instead of craving carbonated sugar water.

You're spot on. I'll try that.

I've been dieting for two weeks and I'm now in the """"healthy"""" bmi range as of tonight

Of course a healthy bmi is still huge on a woman so I've still got 30lbs or so to go, can I do it before semester 2 exams??

You and I both know that shards are way more better for weight loss

But glass can't blot out all the pain and shame in your life like alcohol or dope can. If you were just a fatass then sure I'd suggest crystal ; but you're a fatass with a pathological need to drink yourself into a semi-catatonic state of ego death on a daily basis. It's not my place to ask you what hurt you so much to bring your life to this, but if you're serious about slimming down I'd suggest making the change to either heroin or PCP, with a transitional period where you gradually replace a portion of your daily alcohol intake with benzodiazepines (just to avoid DT's).

One, two, three, one, two, three, drink
One, two, three, one, two, three, drink
One, two, three, one, two, three, drink
Throw em back, till I lose count
I'm gonna swing from the chandelier, from the chandelier

I also agree with this forum. I used to be pretty fit with a passion for cycling and hiking but lost interest over time. I will say I did do three century bike rides and a 100 kilometer ride in my younger days if people want to hear some stories

Guess dumb question but what do you guys think would be better to buy an elliptical or a treadmil? Figured putting money that I save from snacks and junk will be better spent on that.

The best way to lose weight is via a combination of resistance training [weights] & aerobic exercise, both machines have their drawbacks but the results are similar enough that you could go either way depending on preference. The treadmill is harder on you're joints, but offers more variety and is slightly better at calorie burning. The eliptical on the other hand is easier on you're body, but is a bit more repetitive and not quite as efficient at calorie burning.
