Brianna Wu / John Walker Flynt - "Biggest Victim of Gamergate," Failed Game Developer, Failed Congressional Candidate

Know what would be great? If somebody took that old Socially Unconcious bullshit Flu (credit to @Pocket_Sand! I love that new nickname) did back in the college years, fixed it up to not be shit (read: stole the characters but actually made the content, y'know, not dammingly insulting to anything that breathes air), and then published it in such a way that it got more public attention (and potentially money) than Rev Shitty.

The idea being that yes, it's stealing Flu's original shit wholesale...except the only way Flu could claim copyright (which IIRC doesn't even exist for SOCCON) is to out themselves publicly as a trans woman because otherwise, John Walker Flynt does not exist on this Earth anymore. This in of itself isn't noteworthy aside from, you know, Flu blatantly fucking lying about being a woman from birth and forcing them to come out *again* to protect their precious Sailor Moon ripoffs would utterly wreck anybody who even remotely supports them.

Except Frank because he's either a dumbass or some kind of twisted enabler.

Honestly, i could probably do it myself, i have some idea of what makes a good character and entertaining plot. The first problem is just trying to decide what their characters should be-how do they act and interact. That's hard because as far as I know, John never gave his characters a personality.

Also, the more John fucks up cars, the better i feel about getting a 2011 Chevy Impala for 9,500 bucks.

If Frank isn't even more of a screaming Mongoloid midget than he seems to be, he only bought this thing for John on the condition that John not fuck it up and only allow competent mechanics to touch it.

John is a bored man child who needs affirmation or distraction.
Frank goes along with his crazy capers and "look at me" antics, because when John is not getting affirmation and boredom sets in, the alternative distraction starts to become seriously expensive (see VR ready gaming rig etc).

For Frank, it was the cheaper option to agree to John's congressional run than to fund another "industry relevant" project, but as John increasingly doesn't get the arse pats, the Porches of Distraction are going to mount up.

As time moves on and John becomes even less relevant, it will be interesting to see how long Frank is prepared to keep paying for the distractions.

For as long he is getting a piece of that sweet sweet poontang pie.

I know you’re just musing, but this is something I hope that no one does because ultimately it will just add to the noise. Brianna will ignore it in public and her fans will see it as evidence that all of the rumors about Brianna’s past are lies. It’s fun for those of us who are just in it for the lulz, but frustrating to those of us who want to see a genuinely bad person be exposed.

There’s plenty about Brianna to laugh about. Don’t muddy her past, however. She’ll use it to distance herself from her awful behavior even further. You’d be doing her a favor.

I’m surprised she hasn’t created a fake John on the side herself. Not that surprised actually. Ignoring her past is far less effort.

Flu has a serious hard on for making Miniuete (the orange haired bug lady) an antagonistic force in everything - going so far as to use the term 'Bond villain' in the original character concept image we dug up some time back (though given the original site also played the '77 Bond theme, I think it may have just been Flynt on a Bond binge at the time). You could get away with her being the prissy stuck up bitch stereotype.

Holiday, in comparison, is the progtaganist ditz who I think drinks a lot. And has really phallic hair style.

That's the limit of characterization from the original comics (never bothered reading the radio play bullshit), so you'd have free reign otherwise.

Not exactly - Flu screwed up because the two main characters of R60; Miniuete and Holiday, are identical to their original forms for Soccon and Election Eve. Thus, the idea is that by taking those characters and doing something with them far more succesfully would maybe get Flu to screech about character theft...only then we would fire back that they're actually based on a forgotten work by one John Walker Flynt.

Such a scenario would force Flu to address their past - not to mention probably be really angry that somebody 'stole' their worthless bullshit and made something out of it better - and that's where things would get interesting as the characters of Holiday and Minnie are the strongest ties leading back to those college years Flu would rather have buried forever. The entire objective is actually forcing Flu to unintentionally make it public that the stars of their magnum opus are suspiciously identical to shit by John Walker Flynt from years ago. The only choices Flu would have then is to either ignore it entirely after that, but thus abandon any right to something that they developed (poorly) over years and was a major driving force of their life decisions at several points (which is why I'm banking on Flu not backing down over this that easily), or try to pretend that John Walker Flynt still exists as a seperate entity (probably Natalie O'Brien's husband) and gave Flu permission to use the characters. That scenario we could then turn into a 'manhunt' in trying to locate John Walker Flynt who, unlike the imaginary Natalie, has a paper trail we've already dug up, and it leads right back to Flu of course. It would destroy the "I'm a natural woman!" narrative completely.

All joking aside, it would never happen. John's demonstrated that he's got his narrative completely locked down, at least when it comes to the kind of bottom-feeders who'd actually cover him. You'd literally see a story in the NY Times Style section saying "Alt-Right Builds Time Machine To Retroactively Slander Brave Congresswoman".

That would only force Wu to admit we have one of the greatest pop culture rides of all time, though...

I might be wrong, but I don't think Wu has posted a single picture of herself at a campaign event since she started her scampaign.

You're not wrong, the only "campaign" events that have been done so far have been the New Colossus stream (which was a fucking riot that I'm still laughing about), and the "talk" at Ivy Tech Community College (I'm pretty sure Flu counted that as a campaign event, you know... campaigning in Indiana for a Massachusetts congressional seat), and she's posted photos from neither of them that I've seen.

If I didn't know any better, I'd say Flu was trying to run for president.

How do they actually earn money at present? Flynt's Patreon is currently under $1000 a month, which is nowhere near enough to live on, especially given all that money he pours into his car. What does Frank do for a living?

Frank makes six figures at a biotech startup and as @Jaimas mentioned they live in a crumbling shitheap so they can use virtually all their money as disposable income.
