NeoGAF & ResetERA - The Hilarious N̶e̶v̶e̶r̶e̶n̶d̶i̶n̶g̶ Splintering "Gaming" Forum Circus

For all their sperging about pronouns, racism, and everything else that pisses them, have they actually done anything to better the world? Donated to a charity? Volunteered at one? Raised awareness of their issues of interest outside their bubble? No? Thought so.

In the social justice guidelines, if you talk about social justice then you're already doing your part and you don't need to, you know, actually do something.

It's always someone else's fault anyway.

So, with Amir0x pleading guilty to child porn charges, what's the response been in the two gaffot containment zones?

I'm guessing.

I swear, like half the bans or warnings so far have been imagined attacks against trannies.

They're suffering from the same paranoia as SA moderators. This kind of attitude is what made that forum such a minefield.

Why discuss anything related to gender or sexuality when you're not allowed to have any opinion on trans individuals other than declaring them all perfect, beautiful natal women?

Ok, I have to assume none of you have read that Amirox article, because the last segment is fucking

GOLDEN

[Update: The Monroe County DA Office is reporting that inmates are not taking kindly to Goldberg while he’s in jail waiting for sentencing. Back on October 15th, 2017 it’s being reported that one inmate proceeded to urinate on Goldberg’s mattress, followed by putting the remains of his urine in a container and throwing it on Goldberg and the corrections officer.]

Who knew jail was filled with GGers?

They're exactly like NeoGAF, in that the mods will find any excuse to ban someone for even mildly offending them.

The big difference here is that GAF, before its implosion last month, had tens of thousands of users, which allowed the site to shed about ten users a day without the risk of becoming a ghost town. ResetERA has a far smaller user base and the same ban-happy mods that GAF used to have, which means that the site is guaranteed to die out far sooner than GAF did.

I shall pray for you.

Same thing. Virtue signaling

What is insecurity?

Not only that, but didn't Neogaf had a legacy of being a gaming forum before everything went tits up, meaning that it actually had a reputation that drew new people to the site, compared to ResetEra which is built of the absolute worst of Neogaf.

Yes, and you have to jump through even more hoops to become a registered user.

So, hard to get in, unappealing to people aware of the site's origins or views on outsiders (especially politically), and extremely prone to ban people for anything the mods deem "problematic." Yeah, I can't see the site lasting a couple of years at most before becoming a ghost town or spontaneously combusting over some shady shit involving the mods.

And all the warns/bans make me think all mods are troons.

I hope it implodes because of some 'scandal', way cooler than just banning everyone.
