I guess he's learned that privacy complaints, since they're without legal basis and entirely under Youtube's policy, can be filed without legal reprecussions.

That said, Youtube doesn't have the excuse it has with DMCAs (safe harbor) and can\should just ignore them at this point.

So here's a general breakdown of what the Lesser Autistic Legion of Doom (tm) has been up to.

Andrew Watt and Alex Mauer have entered into something of an alliance, repeatedly sending fradulent privacy requests in to take down any video that so much as mentions Watt or Mauer:

Both of these false privacy complaint barrages have been repeatedly overturned, but the pair keeps sending them to try to take videos covering either down - not just on SidAlpha's channel, but on at least half a dozen more channels (including MusicalAntiHero), proving not only that Alex is still a man and also still a faggot, but that Watt is easily just as big a faggot, and also that neither have learned a fucking thing.

Oh, but barrages of these fucking things isn't the extent of their faggotry, Kiwis.

Mauer and Watt have repeatedly been using bots to sign up for numerous fake accounts spoofing SidAlpha's on Twitter. The objective seems to be to own every account remotely similar name-wise to SidAlpha's, and after that, keep spamming (by using bots to duplicate every post Sid makes on his actual Twitter account) until SidAlpha is banned.

It's very clear that Mauer was worried about losing his spot as Lolcow of the Year, Kiwis.

Not just tweet duplication, Alex has been using one of the accounts to say idiotic shit like "Alex is innocent & her DMCAs are correct" or something like that.

SidAlpha also mentioned that he applied for a trademark on his screen handle, so if that gets granted and they try that shit again, they may possibly get hit with a trademark-infringement lawsuit.

It is an exceptional campaign to be sure.

Those accounts were made way before any of this kicked off. I have a hard time believing that doing this will cause his twitter to be banned to begin with because Watt cited an "incident with a youtuber where it happened to him" that I cannot find. Also, If said accounts are being made from one IP then it's would be clear to any human what is going.

He's playing into their hand hard. His fans are getting paranoid about it now and just looking at any account with "sidalpha" in their name. Currently, there has only been one account made at this point.

EDIT: Videos were taken down, but YouTube did NOT strike his account for either.

Alex has such a good track record of making rational decisions. I'm sure he'll fully abide by his legal obligations, and not try to start other shit in the meantime. No, wait, I'm thinking of 'Make a fucking ass of himself and serve as an insult to actual transgender people and women in new and hilarious ways'. I'm sure he'll do that.

It depends what exactly is in that settlement. But whatever happens, I believe Alex will continue acting like an exceptional until A) someone takes his phone away, or B) he's carted off somewhere without internet access. After tanking his whole career and fucking up his personal life even more, it's just hard to believe he'll let all of this go and quietly move on.

Also, if Lemnard and Imagos happen to accept the settlement, does Judge Schiller get any say? As in, can he still force the case to go to trial, or adjust the terms?

I like how easily Watt managed to make Mauer his little minion bitch. He must have been snickering over how quickly Mauer bought into the illusion of having a "friend" with a "common enemy" and will probably keep snickering over it when this finally catches up to them and he throws Mauer under the legal/PR bus for it.

I mean, it's not a bad plan on Watt's part. Especially since I'm pretty sure Watt is UK based* which would leave American Mauer as the low hanging easy fruit for SidAlpha to legally bitchslap while Watt tries to hide behind international courts.

The real question is, will Mauer figure out that Watt is just using him or will he continue to be too blind to see it?

For someone who seems to think he's a criminal mastermind, this is just embarrassing on Mauer's part.

Why would he force a trial? It's in his best interests for this to go away in a manner that can't get him overturned later. And I don't think the judge can't influence the settlement terms, as he is meant to be a neutral party in those proceedings.

Now I REALLY want to see/hear that deposition. if Alex is suddenly very willing to settle, then he must have gotten some serious pummeling there.

@shawnphase is there any possibility that Lemnard will release it? Can he even do it under the settlement terms?

No. If the parties agree to a settlement it's over. The court has no interest in the case continuing if the parties worked it out on their own. The courts encourage this so I'm not sure why he would even want to change it or force trial. But even is he did want to he cant'.

Sometimes a settlement involves a consent decree or something else that will be enforced by the court. A court could refuse to enter such a decree. But if parties come to some agreement out of court, secret or otherwise, and the plaintiff drops the case, with or without prejudice, the court can't force him to continue suing. That doesn't mean a court would actually enforce a contract if it were actually illegal somehow, but they prefer things be settled. They usually do enforce it.

Do you honestly think that'll stop the little rodent? It's already going after others because it thinks since it's not going after Imagos it makes it okay to pull this shit on someone else. The settlement had better cover something like this, or Mauer'll be going to court so often it'll have to set up a tent near a courthouse.
 
All I have to say about a settlement is this: It had better be very, very specific what will happen to Alex should he breach the settlement agreement in this case. I just saw another case that went all the way to trial over breach of a court-mediated and approved settlement agreement from one case and the plaintiff, even though the agreement had been breached by the defendant, got absolutely NOTHING because the agreement wasn't specific as to the consequences of breaching it. Talk about a slap in the face. Sue somebody, settle it through court-mediated arbitration, and STILL get nothing when the defendant does it yet again.

I have no faith in our justice system for good reason.
