Oh, look, I think I finally discovered why fat pseudo-trannies are so fixated on "communism."

Interestingly I began talking with someone who is one of these self proclaimed "communists". Their reasoning was that "communism was never truly tested out" (bullshit) and people need to stop assuming it won't work because of Russia and Stalin and what not. Then I challenged them about places like China, Cuba and El Salvador, where people are still murdered every day for not agreeing with the communist government. They basically gave the same excuse and every time I asked them about El Salvador they immediately changed the subject.

The problem with south america is like what is happening right now in europe, the poor feels like things is going bad and a populist say that the fault is because USA/Germanyandrefugees and they vote to them.
Still,China in the cold war or Venezuela are the best example that how difficult is to make a healthy communist or socialist state.Not only because the head of state is going to be full corrupt or because you need to have a big treasure to make true changes, simply the other countries isn't going to like having a country with a radical ideology near to them

El Salvador is ruled by a corrupt socialist government which may fix election results, but calling a country which uses the US dollar as currency communist is a massive stretch. The rampant gangs and death squads who fight them are much more of a concern for most people.

The problem with south america is like what is happening right now in europe, the poor feels like things is going bad and a populist say that the fault is because USA/Germanyandrefugees and they vote to them.

The outcomes of South American socialist governments are so variable that it's impossible to generalise about them. Those which have avoided extreme corruption and harebrained economic policies have often been successful; Chile currently has a socialist president and has a longer life expectancy and lower murder rate than the US. Cuba, despite its authoritarianism, has also achieved highly in public health and keeping crime down, and eliminated the illiteracy which was widespread in the country in the 1950s. The problem is that lolcows tend to favour the most vocally anti-American governments, trying to be as edgy as possible. This is why they were so obsessed with Venezuela until its collapse became too obvious to ignore. Cuba's reconciliation with the US has probably lowered lolcows' opinion of them considerably, despite it being the obvious thing for them to do.

I would say Cuba does get bashed a bit too hard on this site. While it's by no means the greatest country on Earth, or even in Latin America, it's not a hellhole like Venezuela, and millions of tourists go there every year. It's one of the better run countries in Latin America, not that the competition is particularly fierce. With so many inept and corrupt democracies in the region, a well run dictatorship can compete with them easily.
