Originally purchased from Porsche Conshohocken in Pennsylvania. First owner babied it, putting on less than 14,000 miles in two years and even popped for an early 20,000 mile service. After that it went over 25,000 miles without any certified Porsche service, picking up two additional owners in the meantime. I suspect the third owner had seen the writing on the dashboard error light wall when it was traded in to Ourisman.
So many red flags.
Whoever got John to sign on the dotted line for this lot turd (with an additional $1800 of pure dealer profit for a fake warranty) is going to make salesman of the year.
The Audi TT was notorious for being a hairdressers car. The Cayman seems to have claimed the title of "a poor man's porsche" from the Porsche boxster.
I remember Top Gear UK ripping the shit out of the boxster because said driver couldn't afford a 911, and the boxster was purely for bragging rights. It essentially said "anyone with boxster was going through a man midlife crisis".
Which makes it all the more amusing when John chopped off his cock but still exhibits traits of a balding man going through a crisis.
I can't see myself buying something like a car without an up-to-date service record. For a hobbyist mechanic, I imagine not having these records to be quite a handicap when trying to figure out what needs fixing and where things can be improved.
