You know, at Phil's age, it becomes increasingly unlikely to find a girlfriend who is not divorced or doesn't have a kid. A career-driven, single woman would have nothing to do with him, nor would a single, university-aged girl. Damn, you're right, my bad.

Although I think DSP's views are pretty inflated due to him having so many parts per playthrough, while the TIHYDP is only one video.
So I think it's safe to assume that Phil has more views, but the TIHYDP more individual viewers.

No woman over 30 is going to want to shack up with a failing streamer playing vidya games. A woman over 30 wants stability in life. Even a single mother over 30 isnt going to shack up with a streamer. She wants what is best for her child. If she's :autism: maybe. Maybe someone with a mental handicap who is over 30 might. Someone who thinks they have absolutely no chance to get married who values marriage over the actual person, MAYBE then a woman over 30 would be interested in Phil.

On the other hand, a woman under 25 who hasnt had a "serious relationship" might see this guy, who throws money around with reckless abandon, has a huge house in a "gated community" she might think he's one of these uber popular streamers. She might be a sycophant fan who believes everything that Phil says and doesnt even watch detractor videos.

I'm wondering if this coincides with when he turned off comments and ratings on his youtube videos, so she wouldnt see the comments showing him to be completely fake.

So if you take someone who only sees his videos, doesnt see the begging prestreams, only sees his instagram and maybe his twitter, doesnt know how to play video games knows nothing about games,... and who didnt do their research on him (trust me when I say a woman over 30 is definitely going to verify who the dude is on all social media, as well as google them and search them on youtube) that person MIGHT see Phil as potential mate. Not saying its right, not saying that Phil is an attractive man by any means (but I'm not in his target range) but I am saying that in such a vacuum chamber, that person could see Phil positively.

He thinks that if he goes on ebay, the trolls and detractors would find him. Its not like its not possible to get free priority mail boxes shipped to your home by the USPS, print exact postage on your printer, schedule a free pickup of the packages from the USPS, post the exact postage on ebay, use a new ebay account to sell the things to avoid the trolls. It might take him a day to take photos and do all of the ebay listings, but he COULD sell the stuff he doesnt need. Instead, he puts all of that money in the trash.

Might as well put that money in that expensive gas fireplace of his.

No real information in that pic. Its a pic of a dark haired, chubby man and a waifishly thin, long dark haired woman holding hands. Photo is taken from behind at a mall. Phil's reaction to the pic was "eh so what if someone takes photos of me in a public place". No real confirmation that it was him, or when it was taken. Opinions are that its an old pic of Phil and Leanna at the mall to Phil has a new daughter.

My opinion? No real opinion really. Not enough information to confirm who's who in the pic. Without faces the pic is worthless. No datestamp on the photo renders it even more worthless. Nice to stir up drama and speculation, but really its just not enough information from the pic.

I honestly can't figure out why Phil is in such a rush to play MGS 2 and 3 again over Mario Sunshine. Maybe he doesn't know this because he spent so long in his managed partnership bubble, but speaking as someone who operates a very similar channel to Phil's in terms of laziness and vidya, Konami is almost as notorious for immediate content-ID matching videos as Nintendo is, ESPECIALLY for Metal Gear-related kahntent.

It's going to be so hilarious if he reaches the stretch goal, only to immediately wave the white flag and beg for even more money because he can't get dat Youtube ad-revenue. He'll probably whine some more about it being an illegal practice, "stealing my money" and all that horseshit after he makes two-fucking-thousand dollars for a Patreon goal whose purpose totally isn't for some reward, but just because people want to help him pay his bills.

Dealing with Konami games is notorious for claiming videos, but usually they can be overruled. Unfortunately for Phil this is almost as bad as claiming a video for eternity.
If he’s thinking that “da sociopathic detractors, dood” are going to show up, he may be right. They for sure won’t be “participating” in anyway that will benefit Phil.

Or maybe I’m wrong and this is the playthrough that causes everyone to see Phil like he sees himself.

Nah, its true young women can be naive and make some mistakes they wouldn't when they're older but in general younger women are much more picky than older women. Ask any given man in the dating pool. The older set tend to consist of a higher proportion of those who couldn't get picked up for physical or mental reasons, have extra baggage of various types, or played the market for too long and are more willing to settle. As Phil ages and lards up he'll have to settle for older crazier partners who increasingly match his girth if he can get anyone than the innocent young girls he prefers.
