Obviously he'd be trolled hard if he played public but even on private or solo servers it's gonna be difficult to learn.

Like I said, I would love to see him completely fuck up Return to Castle Wolfenstein like he did New Order and Old Blood. It's a favorite shooter of mine and I can just envision several points that would proceed to bend him over and wreck him. In particular, I can see him completely fucking up the stealth levels in the game.

I always wanted to see him play Pac-Man World 1 and 2. The first game has tons of collision issues and difficult bosses. The bosses in the second and third worlds would make for a potential rage quit. If he wanted to do a 100 percent run of the second game, then he'd have to do collect all the tokens and complete those horrendously strict time trials. Add to the fact that Phil is absolute shit at platformers in general, and you'd have 2 of his saltiest playthroughs ever.

Europa Universalis IV or another Paradox Grand Strategy title. He would have no idea what's going on and the salt would be enough for a lifetime.

Ive got countless hours in EU4, CK2 and HoI4 but can't for the life of me learn Vicky 2. That has a whole new level of autistic micromanaging. EU4 and CK2 can be basically understood pretty easily.

Throw him into the deep end.

Any FPS with brutal friendly fire mechanics would be guaranteed rage and hilarity, as he could easily end up in negative points territory very quickly and even get autokicked depending on server. The sim-lite type stuff of RO/Ins/Squad is probably the sweet spot for it, with very rapid time-to-kill and an unavoidable learning curve for uniform/silhouette recognition.

I'd love to see the fucker try Zeno Clash. He'd boeast about putting his substantial knowledge and experience of fighting games to use, only to fail miserably. He'd throw a massive fit the first fight where you have to beat three dudes at once.

Any dungeon crawler would create a huge amount of salt from Phil because like Tame Sake said, Procedural Generation would completely mess Phil up, because of his horrible memory, and thanks to the dungeon layout being different every time, the stream chat isn't going to be able to help Phil on where to go. Also most Dungeon Crawlers have actual punishment for death, meaning Phil's "trial and error" style of playing won't help him this time.

The Earlier Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Games (Red Rescue Team, Blue Rescue Team, and the Explorers Trio) and Diablo II would be especially good for this (Former because Phil is guaranteed to heavily underestimate the difficulty of the game because its a Pokemon Game, and Phil is usually saltier when he doesn't expect something to not go his way vs when he does, and later because Phil has absolutely no understanding on how to build a decent character in an RPG (Which you need to know how to do to play Diablo II), even with Stream Chat on, so he is probably going to keep questioning why he keeps dying or why enemies take forever to kill, which I imagine would generate quite a bit of rage)

Kings Quest V. I know it has faults but I really do like the game.

But think about it, it's slow, Cedric the owl can be annoying, and he would have a really tough time with the puzzles.

All in all, I think it would be a slam dunk.

I would have enjoyed seeing him play WoW at max level, but we all knew that wasn't gonna happen. I figured he'd get to lvl 30 or something before viewquitting, but with all the trolling, he never hit lvl 2. It still would be pretty glorious to see him try to pvp.

any of the ace attorney games would be hilarious (idk if he's played them previously) due his shit reading comprehension causing him to probably fail even the easiest court cases / get stuck

unfortunately he could rely on stream chat a lot or just really boring trial and error, so maybe not. a roguelike would be great, someone suggested PMD red/blue and even as a baby's first roguelike it can be punishing at times.
